The stairs up to the room but that is what it is and can't be altered. A small price to pay.

A lovely stay. Canals,markets,churches and restaurants wete all there and excellent.

Wifi dropped out a number of times and was a little slow. Not a big problem for us but might be for anyone needing to do a lot of work.

Superb location. Any amount of lovely cafes right outside the building. Our room on the first floor looked right onto the canal and bridge. The people watching opportunities were fabulous! Shower good and little kitchen really useful. Mattress comfortable and room really nicely decorated.

The lighting in the kitchen area. One light was out, but even with that it would have been stygian. We were not overly disturbed by people drinking at tables outside partly because they stopped after midnight and partly because it was rainy and most of the tables were closed. However, be aware that in summer or nice weather there are a lot of alfresco tables under the windows of the rooms that face the canal and it will be noisy. The shutters do not act as a soundproofer and there is no secondary glazing

The room set-up was lovely. 3 windows with shutters overlooking the canal. Comfortable seating. Facilities to make food and drinks. Convenient location. Able to lock up bicycles in view of the room.

There were no pan, so frying something for breakfast was not possible. The room was a bit cold.

Great location in the city center. The room was clean and well-furnished. Absolutely awesome check-in and check-out process. It would be great to provide a kitchen towel at the beginning of a stay but anyway the staff is really attentive.

The stairs are quite steep, and while I had no problem with this, I would not recommend the property to anyone with mobility issues.

The property was comfortable, the kitchenette was very useful, and the location was excellent. I would stay here again without hesitation.

The only thing that was challenging is climbing the steps to the third floor. Absence of lift in the 400 year old building is very authentic, but makes life a little difficult.

Wonderful location, you can't find a better one. You stay in the heart of the old city and enjoy the atmosphere of it.Very well designed loft in a historical building.Extremely friendly and helping staff.

Room lighting could be better. Also, the windows need to be cleaned.

I was in room n.8 - Goethe mini apartment. The room is on two levels. Downstairs there is the bathroom and a small but effective kitchen, with induction stoves. Upstairs there is a carpeted bedroom with a queen size bed. The apartment is cosy and quiet. The location is perfect. The "staffless hotel" approach is convenient.

Quite noisy-can hear every word of street conversations as if the person stand next to you (so ear plugs needed).

It took me a while to find how to turn on the heating. There is an on/off switch at the top of the touch screen control units (each room has a seperate control unit). I could not find the description in the room.

It is a staff free hotel. Nevertheless, it was very easy to get in the hotel and room. Upon check out there was one person in the lobby, so not completely staff less. Room no2, is a studio. sitting room, with small kitchen including basic pans/plates/cutlery and desk, a large bedroom and spacious bathroom. the studio is at the back of the building so no nice views but also no noice. Check out is at 12 (noon) which is appreciated. The hotel is in the middle of the city center. There are two underground parkings each only a 10 min walk from the hotel (16 Euro per 24 hour fee).

It is not that I didn't like it and it wouldn't stop me from staying again, I was cold. The heater would not go up in the main room in the evening (the bathroom one was excellent). I looked for extra blankets and I was unable to locate them. An extra blanket would have been perfect. I didn't think to message the team, I am sure they could have accommodated had I thought in the moment to ask for one.

Exceptional stay! I will stay here again. The location is in the heart of the action and centrally located for fun events and activities. Food options are just a step away and shopping the same. I really enjoyed that there was a microwave, cooking top, and a few things like plates, glasses and silverware, and a fridge. Always beneficial.

Getting down to front door is fun in the wet, but nothing the hotel can do about that.

Great location in leiden loads of bars and restaurants on your doorstep. Plenty of coffee in room, which was bigger than most in leiden. Will definitely stay here again

I was unaware that I had to carry my luggage up three flights of winding stairs. It worked out - but it would have affected my choice of rooms.

Can be a bit noisy at weekends but bearable unless you are a very light sleeper. No lift may be an issue for older individuals but didnt bother us at all.
