How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

There were no towels in the bathroom, and there was little walking space. Matres was hard.
I liked it that we could easily check out by just placing the keys in a basket at the reception. Staaf was kind and helpful. Kitchenette available.

There was a mentally unstable individual in the parking lot two of the days. Something unavoidable closer within cities, but it wasn't expected here, especially as it's right next to a school facility.
The hotel was clean, comfortable, and had a nice kitchenette. We were able to eat simple meals within the hotel. Good daylight and curtains to block out light when desired.

The location is far from Amsterdam Central. If you plan to take public transport then its take almost an hour to reach Central where all the attractions and touristy spots are there.
We stayed here for 3 nights. The room had small kitchenette and spacious bathroom. They gave us a complimentary wine bottle and few chocolate, that was really nice. Location of the property is nice and very close to RNET bus stop. Airport is very close and takes only 15 minutes by bus.

Nothing in particular. I only wish they could extend the check out time to 12 because my family and I enjoyed the place.
The breakfast was fantastic and indeed continental. It offered a variety of options to choose from. Staff were also good. The gentleman who checked us in (sorry I didn’t get his name) was really helpful. He’s a great guy.

The lift needs some work, button doesn’t work well and inside is a bit dated and needs a good clean and fix up

The fire alarm at 5.00 am has been handled unprofessionally although obviously and thankfully there was no fire, there was no explanation to the guests either

This is more my error but it's quite inconvenient that it's called Executive Residency by Best Western Amsterdam Airport as I ended up at the Best Western Amsterdam Airport first and had to take an Uber to the proper location. Might want to adjust the name a bit more to avoid confusion.
Needed to spend a night near both Hoofddorp for a wedding and the airport for my flight the next morning and this was perfect. Easy accessible via the nearby bus stop. Staff was very helpful with check-in and the room was much bigger than expected. Nice spacious room and bathroom (with a proper door, which is often lacking these days in hotel rooms), lots of charger plugs and USB-ports, nice big TV, comfy chair, kitchenette for people who stay longer too. Can't recommend it enough.

We enjoyed the stay in the facilities. It is just like being at home but in Amsterdam. Would recommend to anyone planning to go with your family. We had a great time and appreciate the very supportive staff at the reception.
