Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The room was clean and spacious with comfortable beds. The bar and restaurant area were welcoming. The drinks in the bar were reasonably priced. The Nespresso machine in the room was great. The breakfast was good quality.

Good hotel at the Leiden central trainstation. Friendly staff. Parking close by. Kitchen OK-ish. Nice lounge and bar.

United KingdomBreakfast was disappointing . Melon and pineapple every day. Awful sausages and scrambled egg - it was solid. Tough hash browns. Yoghurts were ordinary. Interesting cakes/pastries, when available. Coffee was very ordinary.
Room was cleaned every morning whilst we were out. Very close to station and town. Entertaining at breakfast time watching all the cyclists through big windows. Comfortably warm throughout hotel. Friendly and efficient staff.

United KingdomThe hotel was expensive and we were booked in ok but our room had not been cleaned nor the bed changed or made. Toiletries were still in the room. On calling from the room informing reception we were given a drink voucher and asked to wait in the bar. We were allocated a room change quite quickly.

IndonesiaActually...we were very happy. Just the last day when I was about to check out.. I was unhappy.. Because of the staff wanted to charge me breakfast for 2 persons, although I came (one person only) ONCE to dining room on 7 February 2024. Have to argue.. they asked question.. like .. Were your friend accompany you to the dining room. ? (OF COURSE NOT.. WE ARE NOT STUPID). They can check with CCTV if they want. At the end they charge me only for one person.. Alhamdulillah.. but such a question irritating us as foreigner. We did not want to include breakfast in our booking, because we were not sure whether it will suite our taste. Please train the staff in front office not to judge a guest like that.
Everything was perfect.. the room is clean and warm in winter. And close to LUMC where we had our course.
