The young lady that checked me in did not follow through on my request for one more night ...she didn't seem to know how to add an extra night to my reservation. Rather than let me know she said it was done. I had to ask the next morning and the young man that attended to me was very polite, and made sure all was done correctly. He was very informative in making sure my accommodation was comfortable and gave me a discount for the inconvenience of having to wait for him to enter in all the reservation information to secure the extra nights stay.

Loved the decor in the restaurant which was suitably named The Green House Staff was polite and attentive... Food was not the best for dinner; however the breakfast buffet was top notch

The bathroom and the quilts, I suppose they were synthetic, and although it was quite cold in the room, we were all sweating, and we could not sleep well.

The room was quite old, and some small renovation was needed. Plus, the AC seemed broken as it made a terrific sound at night.

The hotel looked dreary on the outside, causing me concern as our mini-van approached. To my relief, the inside had been completely updated. That said, the exterior needs a facelift, especially since the gap between the interior and exterior windows is full of mold.

The room appeared to have been recently updated, as did the hotel's public spaces, which included a small concession for snacks and drinks, as well as a shop for other necessities. Attractive and spacious, the room had twin beds—a hard find in Europe, yet a necessity for me and my adult son. The restaurant was pleasant, the food acceptable. Given its location—a 10-minute drive from the airport—the hotel's free mini-van was a must, and it was reliable. The room's price was also much less than hotels within walking distance of Schiphol.

additional charges for pet were a surprise. pink lighting on the outside of the building is ugly, same for green lights at entrance to the "green room." less creative and more neutural decoration would be an improvement.

Excellent service and friendly staff right from the checking in.Ambience within the room was outstanding, very clean, and neatly organized.The restaurant service is full of options to anyone's desire. Airport pickups were reliable service for my flight time.It's the reason NH Hotels will always be my hotel of choice

They have a very good breakfast. The hotel is only 7minutes from Amsterdam airport and the shuttle leaves every half hour. book a time when you want to use the shuttle to return to the airport.

Coffee maker did not work, did not punch the capsule, made lots of noise, nothing came out, tried 3 times. We were leaving early and did not contact the front desk until checkout. They said they would have brought a replacement if I had asked earlier.

At the airport, look for Hotel Shuttle signs and follow them. There is a billboard with many hotel pickup times listed. Their shuttle is at the airport around the1/2 hour. We were lucky, walked out and caught it, no waiting. About 10 minutes to the hotel. The trip to the airport from the hotel has to be booked ahead of time as you need a voucher when boarding the bus. We had a superior double, giant king bed, coffee maker, kettle, fridge, work desk, TV with a small selection of channels, included wifi, ground floor view of Best Western next door, sitting chair, table and bed lights Also McDonalds very close.

I am sorry about this comment but everybody working there seems to dislike their jobs, not a smile, not a kind word i mean from reception to restaurant to the driver every one seemed to hate being there truly a pity.

The bathroom can use an upgrade, it is very far from the Central area, and there is road construction happening at the moment which makes it a bit challenging to get to the hotel

NH Amsterdam is a lovely hotel, the location I decided to stay at is near the airport so it is far from the Central area so it's a good place to stay if you are ok with taking the train and bus into town. Taxis are pretty expensive so again if you don't mind taking the train, and a few busses into town then this location is for you. They do have another location closer to the central area but Im sure the cost of lodging is more. This location was convenient for me because I was near the end of my trip and wanted to be close to the airport. My room was comfortable, and I love that I had a nice huge tub. The shower could use some re-tiling or an upgrade but overall my experience here was quick and pleasant. Oh and I loved the Greenhouse - restaurants aesthetic- I didn't eat but I did hang out at the bar
