How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

I booked junior suite, the hotel was using the sofa bed as a second bed which is fine and expected. However, i were asking the hotel to send an extra chair since the sofa bed was used as bed already, we only have 1 single chair to sit or share for 3 people, the hotel reception refused to send another chair for us, this is so inconvenient for our stays of 3 nights.
Breakfasts are good.

The location is a bit away from the airport. Need to take either bus or train to reach the airport.
Friendly staff, facilities were good. Hassle free check in and check out.

At check-out it was claimed that I had breakfast when in reality I didn't. But it was resolved and I wasn't charged for it.
Clean and spacious room, very comfortable bed. Right next to the train station and parking space connected to the hotel, so very easy to access in many ways. Nice parks to have a walk near the hotel.

We had to ask twice for bedding to be placed on the sofabed. There is a kettle in the room with espresso sized cups, I went downstairs to get bigger cups to make tea, but other than that, we thoroughly enjoyed our one night at this hotel/
Comfortable and clean room. One bus stop away from Schiphol airport. Friendly staff at reception and at the bar.

There was no support staff to assist with luggage. No proper guidance regarding facilities and timings of gym breakfast etc. No welcome gesture.
Ambiance was good, room facilities were good. Washrooms were good and clean Staff was friendly

Not possible to open windows even for a small gap. Pricy beer in the restaurant. Breakfast is a bit boring but ok for 1-2 days.
Proximity to train station, offices around and also distance from the airport. Very good “airport style” hotel, perfect for short business trips.

The third party self check in. I did not like sharing my info, especially credit card info aside from the Booking.com platform. Very unproffessional sharing of my contact info with third party company irrelevant how legit their business is resulting in annoyance over Whatsapp, SMS, and mail. I refused this option, reported to Whatsapp and Google blocking contacts from Accor.com and Novotel hotel business account.
Friendly staff. Lobby bar.

During nighttime less public transport, so check timetables well ahead
Public transport to the hotel in regular hours is good, just 300m walk. Nice hotel with good staff. Well stocked bar and nice rooms and beds.

Some things were not clean in the room (the cups for the coffee and the coffee station in general, the sink)
Next to the station, with night bus to the airport and trains to the airport during the day. Big room, comfortable, lots of options in the bar. Easy check-out

My room doesn't have amenities e.g. shower cap, cotton buds, etc. I need to ask from the house keeper.
I like the breakfast here which provides variety of healthy food. The staffs are very nice and helpful. This hotel is suitable for family. My girl is very happy with this hotel.

We had to request for the room to be vacuum (we stayed 3 nights) and tea/ coffee and soap in the bathroom had to be requested. the housekeeping staff need to clean the room better

The carpeted floor in the room didn't feel that clean and no sleepers were provided. Bathroom doors complicate room navigation. A sliding door would solve that.

I thought I had breakfast included. Then reception said yes it was. Then administration said no it wasn't.
The accommodation was accessible to the airport and could be made at last minute in a very pressed time due to cancellations.
