Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

NetherlandsIt was very busy, therefor our room was not ready in time. 1 elevator for all floors means long waitingtimes. Unable to regulate the temperature in the room, it was quite hot. For this reason we kept the windows open which made outside cone in easily
Staff is very friendly, great look, spacious room, welcomed with a handwritten note, very sweet

I have stayed at The Social Hub in Maastricht a few times and so knew what to expect. The hotel is only a short stroll into town and the rooms are big, very clean, with extremely comfy beds. The staff are always welcoming and helpful. For Maastricht, the breakfast is also pretty good.

NetherlandsMy bed was a bit too hard for me and there was something wrong with the climate sensor in the room.
Great hotel, urban style. Good fresh breakfast. Plenty space in the room. Beautiful view. Amazing people running the shifts, very friendly and helpful. Location is also great: you are in the center but not in the noisy areas.

Netherlands- Temp control was a challenge, too hot for a comfortable night. - Only one blanket made for a struggle to sleep as accustomed. - Elevator is too small and slow for the occupancy of the building.

NetherlandsMy friends for who I booked a room for said their room was not very clean, they found a sock left in the windowsill and empty packaging laying around. Going down by lift took very long and did not seem to stop on the 4th floor half the time so we had to take stairs which is fine for us but for guests that are less abled this could be troublesome.
Super colourful and nice building, loved the design and interior. Did not use the gym but it looked nice and also nice games and sitting areas in the common spaces. Smooth check in and check out experience and over all cozy and fun atmosphere. The rooftop bar is also very nice. Room was comfortable and spacious. Location is also great.

IndonesiaThere is just 1 elevator for 7 hotel floors and the popular rooftop bar. While other times we stayed had loads of daylight in our room, our room this time has only two small windows. Next time I would request a low floor and a room towards the back.
Third time we have stayed here. Really nice rooms, nice bed and good bathroom. The location is great!

Loved our stay here - we felt everything was good about this place. Very friendly staff (Teun gave us a warm welcome with waffles, gave recommendations on where to visit and was a pleasure to talk to). The place is very centrally located and we could easily visit the Christmas market with a short walk. Room was good too, cant add much as we only had an overnight stay. No reasons to complain, nice comfy room and the facilities in the lobby were good too (pool table, table tennis, gym). Totally recommend staying here!

TaiwanOur room was supposed to have a kitchen with cooking abilities but when we first entered there was absolutely nothing. No knife or even plate or glass. The staff then bought up a very small box with camping supplies like tin plates and mugs with no tea towel or lid for the single pot. Basically don’t waste your money to pay for kitchen facilities because you can’t cook there beyond like instant noodles… They have an incredibly SLOW single lift fora multi floor building with heaps of students an every time there were a dozen people waiting. Lucky we were on the 2nd floor and could walk the tiny stairs but it is not comfortable. Overall would not stay again. The bathroom was unpleasant with not even a shower curtain to prevent water flooding it.
Location, it was great to be able to walk and have a supermarket downstairs. High ceilings and big windows with a comfy bed.

SpainThere needs to be more than one lift to serve guests. There was constantly a queue and it could take several minutes to find one available and then you still had to ride along with everyone from floor to floor so it was a bit annoying. Also, staff were a bit unhelpful at times. We had asked if we could check out at 1pm after breakfast as we needed to run an errand and were told 12:30 latest as they needed to get the room cleaned for the next guests. That was okay, but they neglected to tell us that at 12pm our keys would deactivate so when we came back in from our errands at 12:02 to check out, they told us to first be sure we got everything out from the room first. We then had to wait a long time for the lift only to find the key no longer worked. When finally got back downstairs, they just said yes, the keys deactivate at 12pm. Why they couldn’t bother to tell us this when they sent us upstairs??? So then had to activate key and wait again 5 minutes for lift before we could check out. Staff at reception could have been more helpful in explaining this upfront, rather than send us on this chaotic ride.
It’s very well located and the rooms are very comfortable. Parking lot next to hotel was perfect as well.
