Bed was a bit close to the wall so it was difficult to get out off and the wet room shower floor got very slippery and the floor was not helpful as an accessible room. The room itself for someone who couldn’t walk far, was perfect. Oh yeah and clearer signage outside leading to the hotel would have been very helpful as we are English.

Great location in front of the river. Breathtaking views on the terrace whilst eating breakfast. A quiet and lovely location.

Not good tea/coffee facilities once reception closes.

The location is superb for seeing around Trondheim. We loved that in the day the place doubles as a garden cafe. The lounge room (which also doubles as a cafe in the day) looks like an incredibly traditional library. Easy walk to the Cathedral. Great walks from the door taking in the river.

Uncomfortable furniture in the dining area. Very small rooms. Bathroom was difficult to operate.

The receptionists were very helpful. The night manager went out of his way to help me. The breakfast was good. Facility was on the river with good walking in the park.

Very nice hotel on central and tranquil location near river and cathedral. Rooms are clean and sober, origanally meant for pelgrims and luckily not for posh people :-). Good breakfast on terrace (with hopefully some sun for you)

No tea and coffee facility in the bedroom. Everything else was great.

The location between river and cathedral was unbeatable. The lounge area and dining kitchen/cafe was fabulous. The shower was the most powerful I've ever seen. The room had a lovely view and the bed was comfortable

Really lovely people. Just know this is a HOSTEL, not a hotel, and thus was over-priced.

The name on Booking.com does not correspond with the actual name of the property, so that was confusing, since we arrived pulling heavy luggage down a long gravel driveway not knowing where we would end up! Also, this place isn't a 'pilgrim-theme' hotel, it is actually a Christian Pilgrimage Hostel (St. Olav's Way). The self check-in was a bit confusing with no one around to answer questions, and the cafe has reduced hours and a limited menu, which was also a bit inconvenient. The rooms are very basic (no problem if you are EXPECTING a Pilgrimage hostel, but the description on Booking.com was misleading because they call it a HOTEL). There wasn't room to walk between the bed and the wall; not enough outlets for charging electronics. For one night, no harm done. But to be honest, HOTELS in the area are better-priced than this property and offer full services.

The view by the water was lovely! The lady at the front desk (when we finally found her) was very kind, courteous and responsive to our requests. We had to leave around 0400 the following day and they packed us a delicious breakfast to carry with us. Exceeded our expectations.

The room lacked a hairdryer, but since I already knew this from other guests' reviews, I brought my own.

Good breakfast, convenient self-check-in, quiet, peaceful location next to Nidaros Cathedral. Overall good value for money.

Nothing! Although in summer it may be useful to have a little fridge.

Very good room with a nice bed. Everything was compact but more than enough. We enjoyed breakfast and the free coffee and tea. The hotel has a very good location, close to the most famous bridge and Bakklandet. The staff is also helpful and friendly. We checked in later than expected and our room key was prepared and ready at the reception, so check-in was really easy.

Rooms more basic and a little smaller than expected from the photos on-line with no tea/ coffee facility there. But they are clean, warm and comfortable. Tea/ coffee facilllities in the room would be helpful. There are flasks and some snacks down at reception which was welcome, but it sometimes ran out/ wasn't refilled till morning.

Great location, comfortable, clean rooms and breakfast in the bakery was fab. Staff very friendly and helpful. Loved the fireplace room / cafe, and the quiet/ peaceful atmosphere.

The rooms are really cramped. Ordered a 3-bed room, but got a doublebed. Ordered a twin-room, got a doubleroom. Not enough space for two suitcases on the floor. The ventilation in the roof of the bathroom needs a deep clening (mold and dust). Some of the furniture in the lovingroom are dirty and worn.

You get what you pay for! I liked the silent location, the breakfast, the crew, the free buns/tea at night and I liked the very warm bathroom.

My perfect hotel room includes a table to write at, but this place correctly encourages guests to go downstairs and be present with each other, which is of course a good thing.

If you like quirky and comfortable with some historical connections, this is for you. I first discovered it as a café like a living room by the river near the Cathedral. So I was delighted to be able to stay.
