Decor and ambience of the place is superb. Location is great - walking distance to town yet a quiet, quaint neighborhood. Breakfast was quality. All around great hospitality.

Our original request for a twin room hadn't reached the hotel but reception was really helpful and managed to find a vacant twin room. I think the issue was with Booking.com's system rather than the hotel and would advise others to contact the hotel in advance to make sure that any specific requests have been received.

A really lovely hotel in a great location, this is a charming place to stay. The breakfast was excellent and the brownies a real treat. Our room was spacious and very comfortable and well equipped. An added bonus is that the hotel backs onto a lovely park, perfect for an after dinner or early morning stroll.

The hotel and location were perfect. My only criticism would be the noisy, raucous partying of neighbours in surrounding properties until late . Students? And possibly in the build up to National Day?

When the historic property was modernized it would have made sense to install an electric outlet in the bathroom.

Be aware that every excursion in to town requires a steep climb back up. Room was very small, which is not really an issue, but the only storage for clothes etc. is a short rail with a few hangers - no shelf, drawer, or cupboard space. There is no glass provided in the room, and no bottled water. The bathroom was tiny with the shower being integral to the room. There was just a small glass screen to one side - inevitably the floor in front of the w.c. will get splashed as will the wash hand basin and the unit around it. The wall in front of the w.c. is VERY close to it - mind your head when standing up!

The staff were excellent. Bus information and directions to Hotel were sent in answer to a direct email - including advising on the steep hill! Staff were also extremely helpful in answering any questions and making bookings where possible. Breakfast was a good choice of cold options but the only warm option was the same scrambled egg every day. Replacement towels and toilet rolls were freely available in the hallway outside the rooms.

Would wanted to stay longer

I loved personal taxi ride from Airport to Hotel. I felt safe and welcomed for that. The view from my window out to the hills was amazing! The room was private but provided everything I needed. Personal in the hotel is very warm and attentive. Breakfast is delicious with strong coffee and good warm morning bread. Atmosphere is very cozy. I felt very welcomed there.

The only thing you need to keep in mind is the fact that there is no lift, so you need to walk and carry your luggage, but for me that was not a problem at all

Everything was great. I had an amazing view of the city from my window. The room and the bed were comfortable, with enough space for the guest. The building itself is stylish, though inside you can see its age, which makes the place special. Also the location is very tourist friendly, within a walking distance of city attractions, the station, and near the park. The staff were really helpful and hospitable, breakfast was tasty ( especially home made granola and bread, and you have a variety of foods to choose from). All day you can grab a tea or a coffee and enjoy freshly baked brownie. The place is really worth recommending.

The decoration inside the hotel is beautiful. Staffs are nice and friendly and the breakfast is good. The location is really good. It located on the top of the slope and can have a good view from the window and it only takes ~10mins walk from bus station and 20 mins to the bay of Bergen.

Friends with whom I traveled weren’t crazy about the stairs, but that’s Europe! I’d say if you have mobility issues, request a room on the ground floor of the adjacent building (the green house across the street).

Hotel Park is a real touch of local flavor, blending that Norwegian charm with the cosmopolitan aspects of bigger cities like Bergen. Hotel buildings (there are two, with the white building being the main one) and a short walk from the city center, situated in a quieter residential area and next to an absolutely beautiful city park. It’s just perfectly situated for exploring Bergen, and then finding quiet to unwind. Rooms are on the smaller side (by American standards), but that’s the case throughout Bergen. Perfectly clean and comfortable, with nice little amenities throughout the hotel. Hands down, the best brownies I’ve ever eaten (and I’m from the U.S. South, so I’ve had plenty). Breakfast was a perfect blend of local and standard foods. Hotel Park is just a charming, lovely place.

Was not a problem, but the hotel does not have an elevator. Stairs may be a challenge carrying luggage to upper rooms.

Quiet location away from the crowds but with easy access to local attractions via Lyft/Uber. Lovely rooms; each is unique with. Excellent breakfast. Coffee available through the day. Wonderful helpful staff.

Incredible hospitality. Staff was friendly and hardworking. Loved the ample breakfast with local ingredients as well as the tea/coffee and fresh brownies on offer throughout the day. Single room was comfortable. Great location.

The staff rank amongst the most friendly in Norway. Extremely professional and so helpful at all times. The breakfasts rank amongst the very best I’ve ever encountered over the years in Norway! Their lounge area is ultra superb with a real taste of charm!
