Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThe restaurant was in the lobby and only had food until about 1pm. No microwave in the rooms for leftover food but did have one in the lobby. The mini fridge in the room can hold one To-Go box.
It was a great location in Viejo San Juan.

GrenadaSome areas of improvement in the guest room could be options for use of brighter lighting for working, availability of suitable desk and chair and stable internet. These are necessary for working at nights and to be able to maintain contacts with workplace back home.
The property is in a very centralized commercial location (for shopping and dining) within the city. The antique layout of the interior (room and general area) is very attractive. The friendliness of the staff was great.

We liked the Casablanca movie theme. Very good location to restaurants and bars. The hotel restaurant located just past the lobby was very good, but we only tried their breakfast. Cozy upstairs seating is also available

United States of AmericaInstead of regular bath towels we only had step out towel mats to use. Unfortunately I didn’t realize it until after I was done showering and had no chance to request real bath towels! We were only there one night so that was our experience.
Loved the location and the roof deck!

United States of AmericaOur room was located on the first floor right in front of the elevator, and we could easily hear chatter in the hallway and the elevator dings and noises throughout the night. Thank goodness we're not light sleepers! The room didn't have any actual windows to the outside world, only to the indoor hallway. We were disappointed by the time they started serving breakfast; it was too late for us. We ended up having breakfast outside the hotel, although we really wanted to taste their food.
The location was perfect. We enjoyed the vibe of the hotel, especially the rooftop with the hot tubs. The young man who worked the night shift was really friendly and helpful and assisted us in several ways. Complimentary coffee and water at the front desk were a nice touch.

The onsite cocktail lounge was very good. The onsite coffee and breakfast was delicious. The roof top outdoor space was relaxing and spacious. The staff was friendly and eager to be helpful.

CanadaThe room I stayed had no windows that allow you to look out to outside but how the indoor windows ( fake windows) was designed it brought light into the room.
The location of this hotel was perfect. Restaurants and water front was easy walking distance . I love the deco and the roof top facilities.

United States of AmericaThe safe was not attached to anything to actually keep it secure and in the room. It was useless as a safe, just sitting on the shelf ready for someone to walk off with it. The bathroom needs to be updated: it's very dingy looking. And the towels may have been clean but they had some stains on them. Not a good look.
The location is fantastic: in Old Town and easy to walk to all of the sites, shops, and restaurants. The staff was very friendly and even helped us get transportation to the cruise terminal. The room had great atmosphere and decor, and did feel like it was straight out of Casablanca. The bed was comfy.

United States of AmericaThere isn't a ton of space if you're using both beds, but it worked. In our room, the bathroom fan was on whenever the light was on, and it was irritating after a while not to be able to turn it off because it was kind of loud. This isn't a deal-breaker, though.
My cousin and I stayed at Casablanca Hotel in March of 2024 for two nights. The location in Viejo San Juan couldn't be any better! It is so centrally located that you can walk anywhere in Old San Juan in a matter of minutes. The lobby area is beautiful, and they have a small restaurant where we had a delicious breakfast one day. The rooms worked really well for our needs. We booked a room that had one bed and then a sofa area that converted to a bed so we each could have our space. The sofa bed was more comfortable than it looked. Initially, I was hesitant to book because the rooms are internal, meaning no window to the outside, but this is actually a bonus! Old San Juan can be super noisy at night, and the room was perfectly quiet and offered us our best sleep while in Puerto Rico. All of the buildings in Old San Juan are connected (kind of like townhomes), so the number of rooms with windows out to the streets will be limited. The room actually had great lighting because there are windows to the internal area--kind of like a landing that is brightly lit because of a skylight. But there are shutters that keep out the light for sleeping too. There are elevators, air-conditioning (a must have, even if March!) a safe, and a small refrigerator.

United States of AmericaCoffee was sometimes not available. Otherwise, the nook for water and coffee was well-situated. Also, no one in our group really minded the windowless rooms on the ground floor, but the aircon was not even. One area was blasting cold, while another area did not have enough moving air. A ceiling fan or portable fan might be useful to ventilate the room, especially on hot days (we went in February, so this was not a concern).
Location is perfect. Hotel has so much character. First impressions upon checking in were positive! There were so many niches to hang out by or near the front desk, or even in the hallways at the back while waiting for checkin or anything, and these areas were photogenic. The roof deck was amazing!
