Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesWalk up to 2.5 or 3rd floor (US floor numbering). One bedroom with no windows. A little noisy from upstairs apartments. Smallish my US standards but you are in Lisbon old city.
Convenient location. Easy walk to Rossio train, Rossio plaza, and Metro. Tons of nearby restaurants. New bathrooms and kitchen. Good number of outlets. Great living room lighting for readers like us. Super responsive property manager.

United StatesA little loud from street but that comes with being in a good central location. Be ready to walk equivalent of 7-10 flights of stairs from Rossio train station- but convenient to take metro to airport.
Beds for 7, living room worked well as 4th bedroom, nice shower in master bedroom, all dishes and appliances needed, great restaurants close by - Duque, Sacramento. Convenient grocery store by Rossio. Very helpful host- met us earlier than originally planned.

United StatesOne of the couples stayed in the room with the 2 beds pushed together. While the bedding was nice, the beds themselves were not as comfortable as we had hoped. The bed in the master room was very nice.
As many have mentioned, the apartment is centrally located in a wonderful area of Lisbon. We were easily able to walk to everything from restaurants, shopping, and transportation. Our hosts, Alexandra & Vasco, were excellent communicators and quickly responded to all of our messages. Upon arrive we were greeted by Bernardo who was very gracious and offered full explanations of everything we needed for our stay. The apartment itself is well equipped with many things we needed. One of our favorite aspects of the apartment is it sits next to Plaza do Carmo, a great evening spot for an outdoor drink and relaxing!

United KingdomThe en-suite bathroom blind wasn't opaque & you could see through it in to the office across the road when they had a light on (note: I didn't see any people in the office, just computer monitors), which made me unsure whether anyone in the office could see in to the bathroom when we had lights on.
Great apartment in an excellent location on the boundary between Baixa and Bairro Alto/Chiada in the centre of Lisbon. Easy walk to all central locations including tram & bus stops. We were met by Bernardo, who had to hang around for us as our plane was a little late, and were given a friendly welcome and tour of the apartment, plus a whole lot of information and recommendations. Communication from the hosts, both before and on arrival was very good. There were 5 of us with the apartment made up as two twins and a large double. The space was great for us - we ended up with two sharing the double as it had an en-suite, with the other 3 sharing the two twins and separate bathroom. One of the twin rooms didn't have a window, but we were only there to sleep so this wasn't an issue for us. The apartment was very clean and had everything we needed, including toiletries. It is a second floor apartment (no lift) on the corner of a busy street, so there was some traffic noise in the night, but this was exacerbated during our stay by a loose manhole cover in the road outside, so we would recommend earplugs. With earplugs (some purchased from a pharmacy after the first night), we all slept well in comfortable beds. We stayed on a chilly, misty November weekend, but the apartment was warm - there is a towel radiator in each bathroom if needed. Duque restaurant, just next door, was recommended by Bernardo, and was very good. The popular square around the corner had buskers each night and was a enjoyable place to sit for a drink after dinner.

CanadaThe location was amazing! resturaunts everywhere. in the heart of the city and quiet location at the same time. We walked alot - Lisbon is very hilly. we did not take the train but it's a 2 minute walk from a station. We parked our car about 10 min walk away, just outside the histoic area and we walked to the apartment - would not suggest street parking closer to apartment as the roads are very narrow and very slippery for vehicles and people when wet. We stayed 3 nights are took the uber everywhere including to Sintra.

United Kingdomnothing to complain about
I recently had the pleasure of staying in this apartment for my hen party, and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed! The location of the apartment was fantastic - it was close to all local amenities, making it extremely convenient for all our needs. The apartment itself was stunning - it was stylish, spacious, and well-equipped with all the amenities we could have asked for. We particularly loved the book with all the recommended places and restaurants - it was extremely helpful and allowed us to enjoy some of the best food Lisbon has to offer. Vasco and Bernardo were amazing. We had some issues with the water leak from the neighbours and in the middle of the night the hosts promptly answered and kindly assisted with the matter. Their promptness and willingness to help us out at any time of the day was simply amazing. Overall, I highly recommend this apartment to anyone looking for a comfortable and luxurious stay in Lisbon. The location, amenities, and the hosts were top-notch, and I would definitely stay here again. If you're planning a trip to Lisbon, don't hesitate to book this apartment - you won't regret it!

United KingdomExcellent location. On a street with several very good restaurants with many other restaurants close by. Also very close to Rossio station which made getting to Sintra very easy. Apartment is very well appointed with excellent bathroom facilities and beds very comfortable. The host organised a taxi pick up at the airport and a taxi pick up on the day of departure which all went very smoothly and made for easy transfers (it was only slightly more expensive than just getting taxis ourselves so was worth it for us). Vasco met us on arrival and gave us some great tips and advice and was generally very helpful and courteous throughout our stay.
