How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

there was some error with our reservation and they didn't have room we booked but it was solved eventually... the only criticism would be the breakfast spread and it's availability...not consistent most of the days...sorry to say that but this should need some major upgrade to keep you in top league

I can't think of anything I didn't like.
The hotel is phenomenal at communication. I was very early and they let me store my bags. The public spaces are stylish and comfortable. The pool was a delight in the hot afternoons. Although I was on the top floor, without an elevator, It was really no problem. The garden view was pleasant and the staff couldn't have been more welcoming.

The breakfast was excellent. Fresh, great variety and convenient time. The staff was exceptionally committed and friendly. The house is beautifully restored and decorated with good taste! Comfy atmosphere. Great location.

Television in the rooms is missing
Excellent butique hotel for a male clientele in a Great location. Garden and pool area an Oasis of calm and the best breakfast buffet I’ve had in years

Absolutely nothing
Everything about this property is phenomenal and I can think of nothing negative to say. My bed was phenomenal. The shower was amazing and the staff welcoming.

Loved the staff, the breakfast, the vibes! Everyone was so sweet and accommodating. The bar area is lovely to just lounge around in or chat with the staff and other guests.

Coffee was awful. Please offer fresh brew.
Breakfast was nice. Good selection and quality. Please serve proper coffee!!!!! You may as well do instant if you are offering pods.

This place is an oasis in the centre of Lisbon. Fantastic, welcoming staff, comfortable rooms and a lovely garden and pool area to relax in. Great drinks from the bar, and lots of recommendations for bars, restaurants to visit nearby. Highly recommend the sunset boat trip the hotel.offers.

I loved everything!
Everything about this hotel was wonderful! The staff, the location, the decor…atmosphere. Cannot wait to stay their again. Ohhh and let’s not forget the deep tissue massage I had upon arrival…just what I needed after my flight!

There are some safety issues outside with minimum balustrades and slippery stone steps.
Cool, relaxed and friendly. Great central location. Beautifully designed property. Wonderful staff. Movie night and sunset cruise were highlights.

The staff are so friendly and helpful. They truly make sure to you feel right at home. The room was spacious, the bed was very comfortable, and the hotel was nearly silent at all times; a great place to rest after a day exploring or making new friends at the hotel pool and bar.
