Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

The guest house very clean and beds were super comfy! My only recommendation would be to add lamps and more storage space in the double room. Check in and check out were very smooth.

SwedenThere´s no elevator in the house! I found this out after I had booked the place, it made no difference for me though. The street is very noisy throughout the night, which made it a little hard to sleep. The bed was a little hard, but they were softer in some other rooms!
Ana (the lady in the office) and the cleaning lady were very nice! This was a good way to meet other travelers as well. The subway and bus stops were nearby and there were several places where to get food around the guesthouse. Zuni was VERY clean and modern, no problem with bathrooms in the corridor. The small kitchen worked fine.

HungaryIndeed the water heater stopped once for us too, but it just had to be unplugged and reconnected to electricity and worked after. No air conditioning either, but we kept windows open. not suitable for families.
Price is cheaper than most places. The host is kind and helpful. She let us leave our baggage in the common area after we checked out so we didn't have to carry all day until the flight. The rooms are clean. She changed the towels for us. There are 5 rooms, 2 bathrooms, 1 kitchen. The common areas were cleaned regularly and it was never disgusting to step in. The kitchen has everything to prepare a meal and clean up (fridge, freezer, cutlery, plates, pans, knives, washing gel, sponge), also a water heater and a capsule coffee machine with capsules provided. There are hair driers in the bathroom, and always new roll of toilet paper. Not in the most centre, but most sights are available with 30-40mins walk, which is acceptable for us as we prefer to discover by foot. Many shops near with fresh fruit, vegetable, MyAuchan (3min) is also close. Restaurants are also nearby (10min). Two metro stops are near, Alameda connects you to the airport (12min), the green line even closer and takes you to Cais do Sodré which is the centre of the centre. It is not renovated, but it's clean and fine for a few days for couples, friends, or solo travellers.

United StatesThere was no hot water to shower the second night. Also, the directions for coming in were a bit unclear, we didn’t realize which floor it was on.
We like the room and the ability to open the windows for cool air.

AustraliaSomething to note is the twin bed room is quite small. Zuni guest house is also located on the fourth level of the apartment building with no elevator, so can be quite difficult going up stairs with a suitcase.
My friend and I definitely enjoyed our stay at Zuni Guest House. Our room, although a little small, had comfy beds and even a little window to look out onto the streets of Lisbon which was nice. We also enjoyed having access to a kitchen, clothes line, clean bathroom and metro around 5 mins away! We were also worried about having no air conditioning but we managed well with the fan and the fresh air.

BrazilI suggest a television in the room, I had to use my lap top.
The host (Ana) is very nice, and she is always ready to help you if necessary. The bedroom was nice and confortable, the washrooms were very clean and spacious. The kitchen had also a good size, and with free drinkable water, and all the materials necessary to cook. The location is near a metro, and it is possible to walk to the center of Lisbon (around 30 minutes). There is an italian restaurant near the place very good, and it is next to a supermarket (across the street).

Czech RepublicWell, there is not much of warm water in the shower. But even though I don’t like cold water, I was able to make it.
It is a clean and comfy accomodation. Although kitchen and bathroom are shared, there was no problem to use it and feel private. The host is very nice, symphatetic and helpful. :) The location is awesome. It is not right in the city center which means the noise is limited (Lisbon is a very noisy city (: ). One can easily walk to a green line metro station which will take you to the historic city center, to the starting point of tram 28, down to the river, Rossio bus station if you want to go to Sintra. One can also easily walk to a red line metro which will take you to aeroport or to the Oriente bus station (good one for going to Porto).

HungaryIt was annoying when guests were loud in the night or smoked in the kitchen (even though it was a non-smoking accomodation) or left the bathroom absolutely dirty.
The room had two single beds, some storage place and a balcony, it was small, but enough if you stay for a few days. Was missing a table lamp, but only for the coziness. The washing machine didnt work, the kitchen is ok, the bathrooms are ok. Only had issue with how clean the bathrooms were when some guests didnt keep them clean. The owner was helpful, she checked out the property almost every day. The cafeteria at the entrance is really cool, had breakfast and coffee there every morning. The location is authentic, not run by tourists yet, so it was interesting to experience the real portuguese every-days.
