It was a bit hard to find a place. The adress given is correct. Just booking shows a different location so Google maps tells to go somewhere else. I think there is a problem with drawing pin on map. To others: follow the adress! :) Anyway it's alright to get lost in Nova Lesna, people help to find the right way anyway! 😀

5/5!! A huge 5! I travel quite a lot as I love hiking, but I honestly have never been in such a nice hotel as Villa Gabriel. The price also is fine. 😀 The lady owner was really nice to us. The whole house is clean, comfy and kept warm. It is just a few minutes walk away from the train station. It is easy to go everywhere from this beautiful village! Even if the weather wasn't too good for a hike, there is so many places to go, where the rain just doesn't bother to take a hike. The whole country is amazing though. 🇸🇰❤️ Slovakia is so undervauled, it is hard to describe how beautiful country it is. Not only well known in Poland Tatra Mountains part, also the other parts. Forests, mountains, castles and also the people!! So open and nice to me. I'm coming back as soon as I can. thank you from Poland!!!

There was nothing which we would mention here. Sure the common bathroom should be a consideration for some, but for us it was not a big deal.

It is a great place to start hikes when you want to visit the High Tatras, Our room had a great view and location. The train was close so we did not have to rush for it when we got up early to start wandering in the mountain tracks.

This is a great place. The owner is very nice and friendly. The room was amazing. Everything is very clean, you have a kettle and cups in the room which is nice. The shared bathroom is clean and very big. There is a kitchen that you can use. This is a wonderful place and the price is very good. The train station is only 8 to 10 minute walk.

There say nothing to criticize, we were satisfied with our stay.

I liked the place very much - cozy, very clean, with kitchen equipped by basic stuff. Close to the hiking trails (few minutes by train). Very nice owner.

It took a little while to get checked in as there was not an employee on-site when I arrived mid-afternoon. So I waited for a while and eventually someone who was there called the employee who came and checked me in. I would also take note that the town is quite small, so all of the taverns are cash only (that I'm aware of). Also the grocery store closes at 6pm... It doesn't very long on the train to get to Poprad though, and it's a short ride to Stary Smokovec. As a heads up if you're using the train, on a Thursday the train wasn't running in the morning because they were doing maintenance of some kind. There is also bus 300 m from the train station and probably 150 m from the hotel. It's slightly cheaper than the train but is always crowded, so I had to stand each time.

The location and value of the place is awesome. I was on the top floor where there is a shared bathroom and the kitchen. Nice views from the window in my room and the kitchen. All the facilities worked great, and the room looks very nice. The location is wonderful in terms of aesthetics. The walk to/from the train station has majestic views of the Tatras. There is a pub about a 5 min walk (first one you come across from the train station). It and all the others are cash only, but the owners are friendly and the food is excellent. They have pizza but the local specialties are much better. I had the pierogies which were spectacular.

The first floors were a bit smelly but not the third floor where our room was. The host does't speak English but we were perfectly able to communicate in German :) Just be ready if you speak only English..

Nice and cozy room, friendly host, big kitchen and view to the snowy mountains :) Recommend 100% :)

It was not easy to find the place, And they did not answer on the phone.

Clean, big rooms, nice staff although they do not speak English. Nice view from the kitchen. Cooking is possible, nice bathroom. Good location, just 10 minute walk from Nova Lesna train station.
