Unique resort in that it is both exclusive but also affordable and relaxed…easy to leave the rest of the world behind…Even though there were other guests there it always was quiet and peaceful and easy to find spots where no one else was around(other than of course the staff who always available to serve and always with a warm smile.

It's a bit far to nearest town (ie 5 to 10 mins in a car). A shuttle bus would be great.

Aircon is a bit loud and old. If you don’t like the thick pillows just ask at the reception for other options.

In my opinion the times when housekeeping came to clean the rooms as well as the turndown service were not consistent. I tried to be out of my room to not interfere with house keeping doing their work but it was not always possible. However, it is no big deal and understandable that it is not easy to always keep the times the same for each day concerning the size of the property.

The facility is amazing! You will feel like being in paradise. The garden is so beautiful and tidy. Melati Staff is amazing and hardly to find anywhere else. They are always so friendly and kind. Pool area and private beach is lovely too. I can also recommend the Melati Spa, where I received a great massage. I did not expect the turndown service which was a great surprise.

Unfortunately the price you have to pay for the privacy and private beach is that the property is a little distance from any nightlife. And the taxi rates from the property are very high. The pillows are abit large and thick.

Everything to be honest. The setting and grounds are beautiful and so well kept. The garden pool villa we stayed in was incredibly private and really allowed us to unwind. The food was exceptional. We ordered far too much room service especially the massaman curry, quite possibly the best we’ve ever tried!

Pillows where very firm pillows, need a selection of soft as well.

Layout for the master bedroom with access to a palatial bathroom central to the villa for all with bath looking onto a light garden and step through to outdoor shower clever. Segregated linen/cloths, and baggage area was well thought out and convenient for all without imposing on master bedroom. Keeps it very private.

No detail was ignored - the staff were so attentive from the moment we arrived, to the moment we left. The hotel was a tranquil paradise with a beautiful beach and crystal clear water to swim in (and a great pool, too!). We felt completely relaxed for the duration of our stay… the wonderful spa facilities contributed to that! We were so impressed with the quality of food; from breakfast right through to the varied but authentic dinner menu - every meal we had was delicious. Thank you to the wonderful staff for making our visit to Koh Samui so memorable!

We only had one meal during the evening at the hotel. Despite booking a particular table, for my daughter’s birthday celebration, we arrived to find the table had been allocated to a larger party. This was disappointing and I’m sorry to say the food didn’t make up for the disappointment. I complained but was offered nothing to compensate for it… not even an apology! We didn’t eat there in the evening for the rest of our stay. Breakfasts, however, were fabulous with so much choice and variety.

The location, right on the beach, makes this hotel stand out. The rooms are clean and spacious, the grounds are beautiful and the staff are so friendly and welcoming.

We had three rooms and all exceeded expectations. It is not a cheap hotel but the rooms were worth it. We had a family pool villa and it was just beautiful. Our children were in standard rooms and they were superb. Fabulous.

Only drawback is that , nearby there is no shops .in Thailand 7 eleven is everywhere but in Melati shops are far from the resort ,but had a wonderful experience
