Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SingaporeCertain areas of the property are rather unkempt.
The property is in the middle of the island surrounded by the jungle, 5 mins walk from the main beach/pier. Snorkeling beach (Ao Nieng) is about 15 mins trek away or about 20 mins walk/swim from the main beach when the tide is not too high. Sunset beach is a mere 5 mins trek. One is living with nature and wake up to the sound of birds chirping. A great place to quietly and peacefully while away time and enjoy the very fine sandy beaches. Island is perfect for a beach bumper. Louie and staff is very hospitable and friendly. Staff will wait at the pier for one's arrival and assist in moving luggage to the property. Similarly when one departs, staff will move luggage to the pier and help to load them onto the boat. Room, I booked, is huge and very basic with shared toilet. The large bed is pretty comfortable and properly shielded with a mosquito net. There are a few power outlets in the room, great for charging multiple devices at a go. Mosquito coil provided should one need it. The kitchen serves food food. Wifi connection is pretty alright when in the room.

NetherlandsVery nice place to stay - much nicer than the photos on booking.com suggest - in a magical clearing in the middle of the tropical forest, about a five-minute walk from the pier at the main beach. We had a well-maintained wooden bungalow with a spacious, spotlessly clean private bathroom (with stone walls). Don't expect luxury, but all the necessary things for a comfortable but basic stay are available. It is clear to see that the owners have paid a lot of attention to the design of the room: a cheerful-looking, tight-fitting mosquito net over the four-poster bed, reading lamps, yes even shelves on either side, fresh-smelling sheets, table and chairs on the balcony and plenty of sockets in the bungalow. All just perfect. And with the beautiful sounds of the jungle all around us - especially in the early morning - we really felt like we were in paradise. Lost Paradise is a pleasant little property: only 10-12 bungalows, most with private bathroom/toilet and just a few with shared facilities (also in good condition). It is well managed and looked after by a very sympathetic Italian-Thai family. Everyone is genuinely friendly and helpful. Big bonus is the somewhat strangely named Sunset restaurant on the same premises, which definitely offers the best affordable food on the whole (quite expensive) island. Easy-to-follow forest trails lead from the back of the resort to romantic Sunset Beach (5 minutes' walk) and beautiful Ao Nieng Beach (20 minutes' walk). The latter offers great snorkeling with many colorful fish and living coral. Lost Paradise rents good snorkeling gear for a negligible fee. Staff can inform you about the best tide. We had an unforgettable five days and hope to come back someday in the future.

Beautiful location. Rustic accommodation that is immaculately clean. We loved the simplicity and feeling of nature all around. Run by a lovely family, the two sons are so friendly & fun. We ate at the restaurant every night and the Thai food was delicious.

PolandI wish there was more pleasant light in the bungalow and less blackouts during our stay. There could be some soap in the shower.
Bungalow was clean and well maintained. Location of this camp is in the middle of island so there is preety close everywhere.

NetherlandsHeads up that some of the duluxe bungalows share one building and balcony space, in some ways the budget options may be more private.
Hidden paradise in the jungle, without doubt the most authentic experience on the island. Much more real than the resorts. Amazing location, at the intersection between all beaches and in the beautiful jungle. Huts basic but that’s the point - save the 5 star for the city. Hospitality so warm and friendly, you really get to know the local family and feel part of their world. One of the best experiences we had in our trip. (Bonus, great Thai + Italian food there)

FranceOnly worry I had was the electricity, which only runs from 4pm to 5am as we needed electricity all night to run a breathing apparatus, however, when we explained the problem they kept the electricity on till 8am.
Lovely spot inland between the two main beaches. Easy walk to the main beach with trails off to several others. Beautiful gardens and a good sized outdoor restaurant open all day. The food was excellent, a great mix of Thai and Italian. Rooms were cleaned every day and the mosquito nets set up like a 4 poster bed worked well. Really lovely family run the place and speak great English and are very helpful.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Shout out to Louie. He was super hard working knowledgeable and really made our stay fantastic. The location was perfect. It was a very short walk to all three main beaches. As a bonus, a very cute kid named Mix lives there with an equally cute puppy named Marco.

SwedenThere was absolutely nothing to dislike.
Wonderful owner and staff. I stayed in a basic bungalow with shared toilet and shower. The location in the middle of the jungle and close to all of the three beaches was amazing. The food was really good. Made really good friends with Mix, the owners lovely 6y/o son. The stay here was unforgettable and I really wish to come back. The place has heart and soul which can be rare these days. ♥️

ItalyStaying at Paradise lost is like being at home: you are warmly welcomed by Gianni, his family and staff that will take care of all your needs. The location is pretty unique: a few cottages in the middle of the jungle. We had a spacious and clean cottage, woke up with the sounds of the bird in a peaceful nest. You walk 5 min towards east and you are in the top rated Kradan beach. While 10min west you are in the most beautiful “sunset beach”. My husband and I ate there all our meals: the food is freshly made by the well experience Gianni’s wife. I am vegan and I had several options, from tofu pad thai to massaman and penang curry. You can clearly feel more than 30 years in the hospitality sector, Gianni and his sons delighted they know exactly how to make you feel at home. Thank you 🙏🏻

DenmarkThe toilets could be better lit (it gets quite dark at night)
The kind staff meet you at the beach to help get your luggage to your bungalow in the jungle - a truly beautiful little spot in lush surroundings The bungalow itself had what I needed and the shared bathroom facilities were clean The owners and staff were all kind and helpful Go in with expectations that you're staying in the jungle on a small island and you'll get to have a little slice of paradise for the time you're there

United KingdomGiven the cost, the constraints on electricity use (only between 4pm and 5am) and no hot water were disappointing. Bungalows are dark with windows closed (no mosquito screens on windows) so being able to turn the light on before 4pm would be helpful. Shower is also too short for anyone over 6ft. Italian owner seemed a bit glum but maybe I caught him on a bad day!
The woman who runs the place is amazing - professional, good sense of humour, really helpful and welcoming. Her kids are very sweet too and other staff seemed friendly. The location is brilliant, between different beaches - one for sunset and one for incredible snorkelling. I recommend min. 2 nights stay to ensure you catch high tides for snorkelling. Bungalow was clean and fairly spacious and I loved the four poster mosquito net over the bed. Good food.

Beautiful and unique setting in the centre of a tiny island. Advantage over the resorts on Paradise beach is the easy access by foot to Ao Lieng beach for the best snorkelling on Koh Kradan, and also Sunset Beach which is great for swimming and sunbathing with barely any other visitors. The restaurant has a great selection of Thai and Italian dishes and is cheaper than the resort restaurants on Paradise beach. The owners were wonderful hosts, and their 6 year old son Mix kept the guests entertained playing games and tricks at the tables. We also fell in love with Marco the cutest chocolate Labrador puppy-)

SwedenThings to be aware of are cold showers and no AC. Fan stops when electricity shuts off at 5 am. Nothing that bothered us.
Cosy and well situated near the best beach on Kradan, just a 15 min hike through the jungle. Amazing family that own the place, excellent food. Will stay again if we come back to Koh Kradan.
