- Sadly the beach was very dirty and had rubbish all over. Last time we visited 4 years ago it wasn’t like this - The room wasn’t cleaned properly - We asked before we arrived to stay at a room away from noise as we have 2x small children but we were put in a room with traffic noise and building works in the late night/early morning which disturbed us

- You just can’t fault the staff, they were all amazing and would go above and beyond for you. Special thanks to Nina mrg , patty and James at breakfast/dinner time. Always greeting with a smile , holding our little baby sometimes so we could eat , asking if there was anything we needed. Also the lovely lady working behind the bar at the lobby (I forgot her name but she had round glasses with a long pony tail) - The food was delicious, albeit it at breakfast time was a bit repetitive & some restaurants would close to cater for corporate events. - Kids club was the best we’ve experienced at a hotel. Special thanks to Ann, Opea , Aunpun, Tan, Mita, Cream, Nue & Un. I felt completely safe leaving my 4 year old in their good hands. As well as the interesting crafts my child made there to bring back home . - Great variety of pools

Not specifically something we 'didn't like', but the dinner at the Italian restaurant was fairly standard.

This resort was fantastic. We stayed in the "Larger Guest Room with Ocean View" and it was spectacular. The room was clean, modern, and had a wonderful view of Merlin beach. The resort was fantastic, with plenty of space for guests at the private beach - where we spent most of our days - as well as the various pools. The beach has its own reef and guests can snorkel during high tide or walk out and view the rock pools that form during low tide (which were teeming with wildlife). There was a wide range of food / restaurants to choose from, and the breakfast buffet was a highlight. We needed to check out in the early morning for a flight and the staff were able to organise a taxi and provided us with a large take-away breakfast. The cocktails were amazing and "happy hour" (2 for 1 drinks) essentially ran from 4-10 PM depending on which bar you attended.

The three pools at the resort are lovely - the design of them is really pleasing to the eye. The staff are friendly and helpful. Emmy, in the main dining area is a credit to the hotel. She is very welcoming, friendly and accommodating and nothing is ever a problem. The bedrooms are very comfortable and includes every amenity you could want.

The staff were out of this world. The food and drinks were delicious and we loved the white sandy beach. The pool was massive and there were plenty of bar situated around the pool and beach. The rooms were very modern and spacious and were always left spotless after the daily housekeeping visit.

The location was perfect, situated near Patong and Karon beach but tucked away on Merlin beach made it feel like we were on our own little paradise island!

My stay at Marriott Merlin Beach in Patong, Phuket, was unforgettable. The staff was exceptional, providing top-notch service from check-in to check-out. The resort's facilities, including stunning pools, a fitness center, and immaculate grounds, were superb. Our spacious room offered breathtaking ocean views and luxurious amenities. A special highlight was the Rum Shack, a beachside bar with a perfect tropical ambiance. MJ and Nina, the bartenders, made our visits memorable with their friendly service and amazing cocktails. Dining at the resort's restaurants was also a delight, with a diverse and delicious menu. Overall, Marriott Merlin Beach is a paradise in Phuket. I highly recommend it for an extraordinary getaway.

location was little bit far and breakfast was ok

Normally I have high standards for hotels to like but this resort have met my expectations, the staff are wonderful, thanks to the Manager Ms. Natty she was so caring and helpful, the room location is very nice and quiet the pools are exceptional, the beach is amazing for snorkeling we booked PhiPhi island trip to snorkel but we realize that the resort has the best snorkeling to see and lovely coral reef the location was little bit isolated but they offer you paid shuttle to Patong, I wished there were more things to walk to near the resort, the breakfast was ok but overall experience everything was lovely we had our second honeymoon here and we loved it yeah also the bed you ll have the best sleep

The breakfast buffet wasn’t the best, huge selection however I found the hot breakfast foods a little tasteless/the same food each day. The buffet dinners were great with the exception of the seafood night, the seafood was definitely not fresh and quite disappointing. The beds were quite hard but not uncomfortable.

Excellent hotel, with everything you need, 3 pools, ice cream shop, coffee shop, multiple restaurants, private beach with activities, kids club, activities for adults. This resort has everything you need that leaving is not a necessity. Staff are incredibly friendly. A wonderful stay that we hope to return to soon.

Difficult to get into the Thai restaurant. Needed bookings several days in advance. The swimming pools throughout could do with a little more cleaning and/or maintenance, showing its age in many spots as well as the slide.

Everything is well presented and organised. Excellent, friendly staff throughout. Will definitely be coming back.

This was the 2nd time staying at Marriot Merlin Phuket. Excellent stay with nothing to complain about. Close to the incredible beach, with corals and marine life. All meals are delicious, and their all-inclusive package is totally recommended, since its not the usual all-inclusive. Its actually a-la-carte for Lunch and Dinner, but you can get whatever meal or drinks you would like.

Unfortunately I saw that on the Beach Grill deck in the evening a lot of cockroaches emerge in and out of the deck (from the gaps in the deck), which was quite disturbing when sitting there. That is the only place I saw that was concentrated with roaches so I want to believe that it's just a local issue with that deck. Should be taken care of. Also, for such a hot season there should be far more fans (at least one for every table), instead not all the tables got fanned which was inconvenient to the point where it even led to disputes between guests over a fan. I'm primarily talking about the outdoor of the Merchant Kitchen where we've had our breakfasts.

Lots of activities for children/teens. Very nice garden. Close to Patong- only 3 km to reach the city. The food is excellent. Locals are doing massage on the Merlin Beach - at local prices.

The overall feel is good but the Resort is deprecated.

Staff no matter which department were great and helpful! Room was comfortable and the bed was really good. Pool bar and its staff were great! Good variety of dishes at the main restaurant, the quality of the food was okay (this applied to everywhere we ate in Phuket, in general food in Bangkok is better). 3 large pools, with one focussed on smaller kids meaning the other 2 were quieter.

I'd suggest improving the dinner buffer at the beach grill restaurant as it was underwhelming and not up to the expected standard. Other restaurants were great though. Also, it would be more enjoyable if the pools were cooler.

Everything was great! The hotel is clean and well maintained. Rooms are modern with great air-conditioning. Breakfast was amazing with lots of options to choose from. The beach and pools were great. Staff are the best part as they always wanted to make sure their guests are having their best holiday. 10/10
