Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

ThailandIt has become less exclusive and less appealing to stay than it was 10 years ago. It has become more of a place for noisy tour groups. Those who scream at the pool and stick their hand in buffet salad bowl. Our room has a swarm of 30-40 mosquitos. Yes it is near the forest but it seems there was no attempt made to get them out. Room is clean but seems worn down. Garden in the bath room just looked Staffs was nice and willing to help but seems tired and worn out. It seems they are short of people and everyone is running out of steam. There wasn’t any senior manager who is able to take control and improve the place as a luxury resort would have.
Nice location on sandy beach. Lots of area in the resort to walk around. Resort is very green and very accessible to the beach.

United StatesThe pool was tiny, the resort made no effort to clean the lounge chairs, so a lot of them were filthy and we had to clean them ourselves. The resort food was decent, but overpriced. We found much better food at other restaurants nearby, especially Kalume. If you want a romantic lunch or dinner spot, try Kalume, a 5 minute walk up the beach. The nearby reef has been destroyed by boat traffic and people walking on the reef. Very sad. The snorkeling near the beach was a huge disappointment. There are alot of day-trippers who come to Koh Kradan for a few hours, which creates plenty of traffic, noise, and crowds, until the day-trippers leave. All in all, Koh Kradan was a disappointment for all of the reasons above. There are still some wild, beautiful places on this island, if you get off the beaten path, but the main tourist zones have been over-run by too many visitors, spoiling the reef and the beach areas. Don't expect a pristine island. Like many formerly pristine islands, Koh Kradan has a major trash problem and too many visitors have negatively impacted the island's natural beauty. Unfortunately, the Thai national park service and Thai government does little to improve the situation or protect Thailand's islands from mass tourism and over-exploitation. Koh Kradan is yet another victim of this neglect and mismanagement.
The included buffet breakfast was an 8 out of 10. Quite good. The staff was very friendly, kind, and helpful, bringing our luggage from the pier to the hotel upon arrival. A staff member even let me borrow his own snorkeling equipment. The room was comfortable, with a huge king-sized bed, excellent AC, ceiling fan, mosquito net, and a nice indoor/outdoor bathroom. The resort is on the main beach in Koh Kradan, about a 10-minute walk on the beach from the main pier when you arrive.

ThailandThe resort seems to be poorly managed. Breakfast presentation and offering very bad. Everything looked very filthy and not clean. Some of the staff seem to be not really motivated and in a bad mood. The whole "garden" is not maintained and there is garbage everywhere. Such a pity for a resort in such a beautiful location
Koh Kradan is a beautiful island and this resort would have huge potential. Large beds in a beach view villa with outdoor bathroom.

India- Breakfast did not include any vegetarian option. If you don’t eat eggs, you are only left with fruits, bread and cereal as options. We did not eat any meal at this place, apart from breakfast and hence no comments on restaurant. - Water apart from free bottles is damn expensive in the resort. (You can buy 1.5L bottles from a mini shop for much cheaper rate) - Resort felt a bit old and hence the rooms are in the need of renovation. Rooms are clean and liveable, but a general renovation would help. It didn’t feel like we were in such an expensive resort. - National park fee of 200THB per person is something that we had to pay when we arrived at pier. I did not see other resort guests paying it (maybe I missed) but worth mentioning as I was not aware about this fee.
- I did not see even a single rat while I was there. This is worth mentioning as some other reviews did mention spotting rats in the room. - Rooms are spacious, Bath area is clean and big. - Beach towels are available for free and snorkel gears can be rented. - Air conditioners work throughout the day. - Welcome drink was amazing… - Staff is friendly and helpful.

MaltaThe resort was nice, staff was friendly and the room was very spacious. The bathroom was really gorgeous too. But, the resort was so crowded with kids and families, that it was not our idea of peaceful. Even during the night and early in the morning we had kids banging on the door and being very loud we could hear them from the room.

Thailand1. The resort is poorly maintenance. Old and....old. But this is nothing compared to the followings. 2. Koh kradan is a shallow coral reef. When the tide is out, you can even touch those vulnerable coral reef. However, the resort has no prep for the guest how to appreciate such vulnerable sustainably. No guidelines, no nothing. Feel like they just take it for granted. During the tide out, they even let their guest to take out kayak. When I asked, staff said "I told them already but they still insisted that they wanted to take out". What an irresponsible answer! 3. The resort provided water in small plastic bottles. 4. The restaurant served plastic straws. If you order cocktails, you get 2 straws and a plastic stirrer extra! I even asked when ordered that I didnt want any plastic, but they failed to follow the order anyways. 5. Lot of staffs.....stand and walk around doing nothing. Two trash bins were full since the day we checked in till we checked out. They are nice in terms of manner but..... 6. There was a mouse trap with a dead rat inside. It was under the beach sun for 2 days and started to get rotten. Again, what a disrespectful and tortured action! 7. During our stay, we doubted ourselves whether we are one of those disrespectful intruders to these vulnerable nature. When travel to well organised and developed country, you will not feel this because they will manage and set procedure for their guests for the least impact to the nature. I hope Thailand can have such system and, most importantly, 'awareness' before it is too late.
The resort located right front of the snockeling spot.

ItalyBreakfast could be improved a little. Croissant were in a warming cell so they were becoming very hard. Yogurt was not refrigerated, and the chopped fruit was not really closed so it was full of little flies and a bit rotten. It would also be nice to have some way to hang clothes in the room, since the hangers are only present in the restroom (open air).
Position is wonderful in front of the seaside, room and bed are very big, open bathroom is very nice and cozy. Breakfast has a good variety. Staff is very helpful.

Koh Kradan has the very best beach. Snorkeling is superb, we definitely want to be back for this! The hotel rooms are very basic but good. Personally I am not a fan of the open space bathroom as mosquitos attack easily. The restaurant/bar of the hotel is superb, very nice food and great cocktails, also great overal service.
