Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaLoud music from nearby establishments. Take earplugs is my advice.
The staff here are the best, and I have travelled extensively in Asia, Europe, Central and South America. Nothing is too much or too hard for them. They are great.

United KingdomWe wanted to self cater as my husband has a gluten intolerance but our kitchenette didn't include a stovetop. We were on the 3rd floor and there was no lift option. The road is extremely busy in the evening and was tricky to walk along.
The hotel was on the busy Bangla road but well soundproofed. The room was quite homely and British in style. We had a fridge and were able to get ice for evening drinks from the bar below. The pool area was very pleasant and shade was available. The pool was an ample size for short swims and had a shallow part and a deep part. Bar and pool bar staff were very helpful and friendly. There was a good selection of British and Thai food available. The beach was a 15 minute walk away in the morning (but took much longer in the afternoon and evening due to heavy traffic).

United KingdomNoise from building work Opposite Hotel and also there is a new bar behind the hotel which seems to have a heavy rock band playing live every night until 4.00am i shouldthink it could be a problem if your room is on that side and you go to bed early
The Location is great and front of house staff were as usual all very Good especially my favourite ladies Ghie and Anne all rooms are comfortable unfortunately there is on going building work across the road from hotel which creates some noise especially at breakfast if you are a little bit the worse for wear 😁 😁but overall a very nice and well run Hotel in the heart of the night life x

AustraliaGiven the hotel's proximity to venues noise levels are surprisingly low. The cleaning staff seemed to be a little inflexible in their endeavour to stick to scheduled tasks. Can be difficult to respond to a cleaner knocking on the door, wanting to service the room when either showering, on toilet or shaving.
Gym and pool are useful. Air conditioning strong, bathroom small but functional. Bed comfortable enough. The bar/ restaurant section can access international sports e.g. rugby and NRL.Booked the least expensive option (single occupancy/ no window).at about $37 AUD / day. Only 150 m. from Bangla Rd and Junceylon centre.

Sierra LeoneA little bit of noise from nearby bars but being in the centre of the Patong nightlife this is to be expected though not intrusive.
Stayed here about 10 years ago for a few weeks. Only a short stay this time but the staff are great. My room was big and comfortable, pool area spotless with a huge TV screen so was able to sit in the pool and watch the Rugby League :) - a first for me. Legendary breakfast and amazing meal of rack of lamb the night before laden with crunch vegetables. Also used the Air conned - gym which seems perfectly equipped, I used a sturdy treadmill for about an hour. Wil definitely return.

MaltaNoisy, standard room had uncomfortable bed and no storage space. It would be good to have a water dispenser also outside the gym to refill and avoid plastic waste. We got 2 500ml water bottles every day, which we could have instead just refilled. Also maybe do put fixed shampoo and shower gel instead of those mini one plastic bottles.
The hotel was next to Bangla Street, it could not be more central, if you like to be in the middle of the party. But definitely take the Deluxe room and not the Standard room. I booked the cheapest standard room and bed was so uncomfortable, room was so small, not even a wardrobe and window (which could not be opened, was out towards the street, so it was super noisy, I tried to upgrade the room, but they were fully booked, after 4 nights I went again and asked for a room change as I could barely sleep with all that noise, and they gave me and upgrade to the deluxe room, which was downstairs and much more quiet. Bed was more comfortable and there was storage space. Only downside of this room was that there was no internet connection. But I even extended 3 more nights, as I liked the second room, I worked 2 nights from the pool side, ate the thai food there, which was good. And all the stuff were really nice and spoke perfect English. I mainly booked it because of the gym, which was good, with lots of mashines, and gym day pass can be purchased extra as well, if you don't stay in the Hotel.
