Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Czech RepublicI have expected better sound isolation, but especially through bathroom you can hear sounds very easily. There is house being demolished or renovated currently just by the hotel and it seems it is going to be so in following weeks, I would expect some information by the reception. Offer of airport transfer (60 EUR) is really overpriced.
Location is wonderful, beds are good, breakfasts are satisfactory, rooms are also quite good. It is handy that there is minibar, safe box and fridge.

Romaniai don’t think they gave us the room we booked. we made a reservation for 4 people but they gave us a room with a double bed, a single bed and a couch. in the photos, i see that the family rooms are a lot bigger. we didn’t even have where to put our luggages!! we couldn’t open the wardrobe because the suitcases where in front of it since there wasn’t any more room for them, and we kept them on the floor. it was difficult to get in/out of the room also. i didn’t like the breakfast very much.
the location is very good, near touristic attractions and restaurants. the staff very nice and helpful with our luggage and provided water for us

MaltaThe mattress of the beds were a bit uncomfortable but otherwise can't complain.
It is located in the centre, very close and easily accessible to a good number of landmarks. The use of the tram and metro were very easy. The staff were all very helpful and explained to us all that we needed to know. Highly recommended.

United StatesThe hotel itself and the furniture are quite dated (hence the smaller rooms and showers) but when it comes to value, it is very reasonable!
The staff is the most helpful staff I’ve ever had at a hotel, Ali and Ahmet, thank you so much. A special thank you to Ahmet for bearing with all my deliveries(which were a lot . Truly the staff here are the best. The facilities are very clean, the room is cleaned daily, and they do a very detailed job on a daily basis. The location is excellent - 2 minute walk to t1 sultanahmet tramway! Overall, excellent value and would highly recommend.

ItalyThe hotel is nearby all main attractions in Istanbul, very close to Sultanahmet and Ayasofya Caminii. Close to tramvay metro station, not even 2 minutes walking from Main Street. There’s also the possibility to book a transfer from airport IST and SAW. We booked room for 3 persons and it was quite cozy, comfortable and warm. Good breakfast. All perfect overall.

Hong KongThe fruit of the first-day breakfast is rotten with mould (esp the oranges) The receptionist told me that we could buy tram ticket by cash, but I found ALL ticket machines at many stations / kiosks fail to sell " Istbanbul red card" which is a must for buying tram ticket, otherwise, we cannot buy any ticket by cash actually via the automatic ticket machine & there's no ticket selling offices or kioks on the ground but only several ticket vending machines. I found all "Istanbul Red cards" were privately held by the local Turkish guys who make use of the red cards to make profit from the tourists in need. They didn't sell the Red cards to me but asked me to give them money (fare) without any ticket or Red cards given to me in return. They tapped their own cards on the turnstiles and let me pass to get on the tram without any ticket given to me. All tourists were very irritated and frustrated, since most Turkish people cannot speak good English. The police only care about whether you've tapped the red cards or inserted tickets on turnstiles before boarding, but never care about the problems of ticket selling to tourists.
