    Not a single thing!

Kitapevi was the most charming boutique hotel we had ever stayed in Turkey. As soon as we stepped in, we got dragged into the magic of this historical Ottoman house. Mr Harun welcomed us in such a warm way and accommodated my mother’s knee problem in the most generous way of offering a suite on the entrance floor free of charge. A beautiful man indeed. Mr Kılıç gave us a great help with all the luggage and finally Mr Murat made us feel like we were visiting an old friend with a genuine kind heart who we had reunited after a long time. And the breakfast, you need to experience it! Thanks to Ms Mizgin and Mr Furkan :) Kitapevi will be our home in Bursa.

Difficult to get to if you’re driving. The closest you can get to by car is about 50 meters away.

The old style was wonderful. The staff were very nice.

Amazing breakfast, very nice staff and service. Beautiful hotel decoration and very pretty. Best court yard & Resturant I’ve ever seen. Mr. Haroon was very helpful and kind as were all other staff members.

The service at the restaurant was hit and miss. The wait staff seemed either preoccupied with others or not aware to ask if you’d been served or what you may like.

A lovely 200 year old property with antiques and interiors that fit the era. A large room with a comfortable bed. It was in a very convenient location to all the main sites.

We didn’t mind all the stairs but if you have trouble with stairs you may not want to stay here. Parking is very difficult but available- need to be a patient parker since parking has a very tight fit. Hotel staff is will and available to park vehicle if you need assistance.

Location, breakfasts and breakfast team! We’re walkers so everything we wanted to experience was within walking distance. The historical value of this property is well preserved. We liked the daily water availability and comfy slippers. And wow, they prepared a To Go breakfast since we had a very early flight out from IST. Thank U!!

Wifi needs a security upgrade, and Internet was completely down for lengthy periods. Digital TV was devoid of signals and not worth fiddling with. Pricey relative to Istanbul comps.

Historic building is set high on a city rampart with great views and easy access to the main sights. Breakfast is beyond complete, and dinner options are a notch above anything in the area, drawing many reservations for rose petal-covered special nights out. Good wine selection, which is almost non-existent in Bursa.

There was absolutely nothing negative to say

Everything. The location is near to the historical and commercial center of the city and Zafer Plaza Mall,. The architecture is old, but the building is very well maintained. The rooms are large, clean, stylishly furnished and equipped with everything you could need, the interior design it's romantic, the view is fabulous. Rich breakfast. 100 point for the hotel and restaurant staff.

Their location is unique and historic, but that also presents a challenge if you are arriving by car and the steep hillside can even be a challenge walking after a full day of sightseeing. If arriving by car, I recommend that you call them in advance and request assistance because the roads getting to the hotel entrance are very narrow and it was virtually impossible for us to simply pull up and request valet assistance. However, when we called and asked for help the hotel staff were most helpful and they met us where we were and took over the car parking from there. It was very helpful and made all the difference in being able to check in with ease. The bathroom was nice and accommodating, but the lighting is a bit dim and could be improved. It also has one of those hairdryers attached to the wall and it is difficult to pull out far enough to use it with ease. The tv did not have any English language channels, and this is more likely to be the case at any hotel in this town.

Our room was spacious and included a balcony with a fantastic view. It provided a nice way to end and begin the day. Little touches like the nice towels, slippers and bathrobe were all nice as was the little “gift” of candies and a mini soap and loofah bag. There was a separate vanity desk from the bathroom, which I always appreciate so that I can get ready while my partner is using the bathroom mirror. The hotel features a lovely courtyard and an enormous Turkish breakfast. The furnishings and wooden floors are quite lovely and add to the overall charm of the building. Overall, this place has lovely staff and a charming atmosphere. We had stayed here before and were happy to have done so again.

Hard to drive up to the front door... but they took charge of the car and parked it and watched after it.

Absolutely everything.. the ambiance of the place is magnificent.... old world with class. The location couldn't be better. The views are amazing. The staff is extremely competent and friendly. The breakfast was one of the best I've ever had and the dinner in the restaurant was wonderful. I can't think of anything bad to say. I will stay here again, for sure.
