How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Everything was so perfect and so clean. The staff were so friendly and nice especially Cudi who was such a friendly person.

-There was no swing on the balcony despite that it is advertised. And actually the swing was one of the reasons to book the type of room I booked(superior double). -The internet speed was very bad on the 7th floor that my room was. -The room could be bigger, especially since in the photos looked big. -The breakfast could be better. There was variety of products, but for example the fruit selection was very basic.
Everything in the room was new and clean. The offered amenities were very good. The gym has everything you need to workout properly. The staff was helpful, friendly and polite. The location is very good, and despite the busy street, the insulation is working perfectly so sleeping was easy.

Just a noise coming from the fridge, but we were so tired that after sleeping, we didn't hear anything
First of all the location. 650m from metro sishane and 850m from taksim, one turn from istiklal, so, next to everything, BUT without the noise! Second, the amenities. Hot water day or night with excellent pressure, toiletries everyday, cleaning everyday and the best of all..the mattress..! Also, the room size was ideal to have two suitcases open and your stuff around without stumbling on it! I think the hotel is either new or recently renovated. Very good variety at breakfast and an extra point for the very kind, helpful, smiley and mostly english speaking staff!

the terrace was never cleaned. loud music that can be heard in the rooms at night. we wanted to ask for a cold breakfast package to take away, due to the early departure, but they couldn't solve it. (this was the first hotel where this was not possible).
Clean room and bathroom, breakfast is very varied and delicious, but the breakfast drinks (coffee, tea, juice) are not self-service. The staff is friendly and helpful.

First of all it is an excellent hotel, very clean and it is in the heart of Istanbul, in an ideal spot which is quiet and at the same time near of Isticlal street which is very crowdy and with plenty of options. Additionally, it is in the middle of all the hot spots like Hagia Sophia/grand bazaar and Besiktas/Nisantasi which can be reached by foot if you like to walk through the city. The employees of the hotel were more than friendly and helpful. Especially Odun (if I remember his name correctly) was very friendly and helpful and also the employee which had to to with the luggage was every time available and willing to provide us tea or coffee. The breakfast was very rich and with perfect quality. Also, the Manager of the hotel was very willing to change my accommodation dates for 1 day later due to an airport strike without charge or any problem. The last day reception managed to book a yellow taxi for us to the airport with a fixed price and we avoided any extra and random charges that a tourist may face with some local taxi drivers. I would recommend the hotel to any future visitor as one of the best I 've ever stayed. Keep on the good work 10/10!!!!
