Brilliant Place to stay in Selcuk

The Hotel is conveniently located in a lane near the Basilica of St John. It is easy to find using Waze or Google Maps. The building has been very well constructed by joining three old buildings together in a harmonious way. The rooms are around a walled Courtyard on two levels and are delightfully decorated with antique furniture and tiles from the shop owned by the two owners of the Hotel. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful with lots of fresh fruit and eggs if you so wished. A bonus was the offer of a free shuttle to and from Ephasus. The two owners were very friendly and extremely helpful. Would highly recommend this hotel for someone who does not want to stay in a modern one.

Very good location, within 5 minutes walk to St John church, within 10 minutes walk to bus station, less than 10 minutes drive to Ephesus. The property is very nice and quiet, pretty. The boss would give a ride to Ephesus, the breakfast is super, fresh fruit are delicious. Everything is good about this property.

The rooms are a bit small.

The traditional style makes this hotel a little gem. Nazmi, the owner, is a great host, friendly and he loves to chit chat. He brought us to Efes site and he came to pick us after the tour for free. Breakfast in the garden is a must, as a must is Ergul the lady who helps at the hotel. She makes the best lentils soup!

Beautiful rooms with beautiful furnishings, decor and art. Marvellous yard. Best breakfast during our trip with lots of fresh fruit. Excellent staff with good English. Parking besides hotel but limited. Can’t say enough good things about the friendliness of the staff and owner.

Only one minor thing. There was no kettle or coffee cups. It would have been lovely to have an early morning coffee- we wake about 6 am, but breakfast starts at 8- or evening tea while sitting on the balcony. That said, I'd definitely stay here again!

The hotel is lovely, situated just 3 blocks from St John's Basilica and near downtown & the inter city bus station. Our room was really pretty, the beds were comfortable & it overlooked the valley. The breakfast was excellent, eaten in the lovely courtyard. The hosts were such lovely people! They drove us to Ephesus & picked us up 3 hrs later.

Lovely little Ottoman hotel with pretty courtyard for breakfast. Erdal the owner very helpful and the free shuttle to and from Ephesus was the reason we booked this hotel.

The room is so clean, the courtyard so beautiful, convenient located near many attractions. The owners are so nice and helpful, we left our credit card at nearby restaurant, and realized the next day, we contacted the owner, he went to the restaurant and got our card back. We are really appreciated.

We had a wonderful stay at this quaint hotel. The staff was both kind and accomodating. Our host Nazmi regaled us with stories of the area and his tribe. He generously shuttled us to various archaeological sites. And then we ended our stay in our hosts' carpet shop; this was an eucational and enriching experience all around. Finally, our hosts arranged a private taxi to our next stop, Izmer. A tremendous stay!

It was hard to find the place since it is low-key. Easy to just drive past it at first. Well worth the little extra effort to find this place.

Little things like not providing water (we had to pay for it) and no glasses in the room. No power points on both sides of the bed - we had to unplug the lights

Good size room, although a little noisy with the window open. Good location and an excellent breakfast. We really appreciated the lift to Ephesus which the owner provides.

Location is very near St. jean's church (300m) and Ephesus church is 5 min driving. Their garden is beautiful. It's a pity that we don't have time to enjoy eating in the garden. The owner is nice and friendly and speaks English so well and very care. I left my cell phone charger at this accommodation. I called and the owner mailed the Charger to my location. All my family say that the breakfast and melon eaten here are the most special melons they have ever eaten.

Bed was a bit lumpy in places You had to time showers for less busy times if you wanted plenty of hot water.

The owner and other staff were very helpful and welcoming. The location was great to get to places and to find excellent restaurants in walking distance. Healthy and plentiful breakfast was served. It was a quiet and comfortable location. Appreciated the chairs outside the room for a sitting area. Loved having extra pillows available in the room.

Wonderful traditional Ottoman furnishings throughout. Very friendly and helpful staff . The manager is very informed and speaks excellent English. He's capable of helping out wherever it is needed. Selcuk is a charming little town with the Basilica of St John and the Ephesus Museum both world class sites. A great base to explore Ephesus. I thoroughly recommend this hotel.

It is a very authentic hotel. The cabinets, drawers, bed in the room are very authentic oldish Turkish style. You feel like living in a Turkish village. The hotel staff are very friendly, the prices are very affordable, so I recommend it to anyone who wants to visit Ephesus. They serve breakfast which is good too. Thank you
