Clean comfortable room with good air conditioning. Wonderful shower and bathroom amenities. Free bottled water daily was nice to have. Comfortable bed. Very soundproof. Can’t bear the location, easy 6 minute walk to Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque, 15 minute walk to the Port/ferries and Spice Market. Excellent restaurants close by. Nice daily breakfast on the terrace. But most of all, the helpful and gracious staff made sure all of our needs were taken care of. Kemal at the front desk was incredible!

I couldn't name a thing here, seriously!

Location is great! Close to many main attraction locations such as Higia Sofia, Blue Mosque, Basilica Cistern, Topkapi, etc. within walking distance. Best location you can every imagine! Staff if fantastic! They are super helpful and friendly. If you need taxi, definitely book from the hotel. I'd like to share one story: Istanbul taxi drivers tend to rip tourists off. Before booking the taxi to the airport, I asked the hotel front desk. They told me it takes about 1000-1200 Turkish Lira. I booked the taxi from them. However, when I got off at the airport, the taxi driver charged me a total of 1600+ TL. I later messaged the hotel through booking.com messages and complained about this. It was just an outlet for me and I never expected to have changed anything. But the hotel staff went above and beyond! They contacted the taxi company, and got back 400 TL for me, and offered to transfer the money to my bank account. This went beyond my expectation! They treat their hotel reputation seriously. They go extra miles to maintain a high standard. Good breakfast buffet. You can see Higia Sofia on the rooftop. The view there is fantastic. It's quiet. Our room faces the street. But it wasn't noisy at all. We had very good sleep!

We first stayed at the White House Hotel 14 years ago - not long after it had first opened. We were delighted to finally return to Istanbul and to the White House Hotel once again, and our stay was as wonderful as ever. Because of our flight, we arrived early in the morning. The staff were not only kind enough to have a room made ready for us, but they also upgraded us to a superior room, which was very kind of them. It's a wonderful hotel, centrally located in Sultanahmet.There are many restaurants, shops and tourist attractions nearby too. The hotel rooms are spotlessly clean and quiet with comfortable beds. The hotel provides a wonderful breakfast and the staff are just fabulous too! We will definitely be back.

We are so happy to have stayed at this hotel. Everything of this hotel from the moment we said hello to the time we had to say goodbye was amazing. The staff provided us with great service and advice (especially Enes) and by doing so made us feel so welcomed. A great selection was available during breakfast and it was nice that it was served on their terrace. The restaurant recommendations were spot on as we had wonderful meals at these restaurants. The hotel is in an ideal location as it is a short walk to the main attractions in Istanbul and if you want to venture further there are public transportation options close by. Thank you team for making our first trip to Istanbul memorable!!

The White House Hotel is perfectly located for sightseeing and very close to many good restaurants. The staff are all lovely but I particularly want to mention the front desk manager. He was so helpful and a real sweetie. I don’t know when I have been looked after better.

What a fantastic stay in a wonderful hotel! The staff were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. The special welcome and room decorations made you feel like a special guest. The hotel is in a great location within an easy walk to many attractions and surrounded by terrific places to eat. The daily hotel breakfasts were amazing with an incredible choice of food and the 24 hour rooftop terrace for tea/ coffee was such a nice place to end the day. This hotel made our stay in Istanbul something we will always remember.

This is not a dislike. Just so you know, you will hear the ezan and some street noise, esp. If your room is on the lower floor. We stayed in Room 205. We didn't mind this though. It's part of the experience.

This was our home away from home in Istanbul. Harun and his awesome crew are such gracious hosts. Kudos to Kemal, Eyup, Omer, Enez, and others that we missed. They made absolutely sure that we had a pleasant stay and supported us in every way possible. Shout out to the kitchen and breakfast staff who were always accommodating to our wants and needs. They may say that this is not a 5-star hotel, but they'll make sure that you will feel as if you're staying in one. This hotel has everything checked. The location is fantastic. Everything seemed to be within a 5 to 10 minute of walk. There are plenty of good restaurants nearby. Istanbul is so captivating. The food, culture, and history-amazing! The only thing that beats all those are its people! You can find a few of the best in this hotel. We will definitely recommend this hotel to our friends and family. We would stay here again. This is your hotel.

The best hotel in the world. Stayed there for the second time. The hotel is in a good location, close to all tourist spots. Very clean and tidy rooms and an amazing rooftop terrace with views. Excellent breakfast. Reception staff very welcoming. They were full of information to help us on our travels. We would happily stay at the White House Hotel on future trips

Had a great stay at White House Hotel. It is in the middle of the bustling old city Sultanahmet area, super close to Cistern, Hagia Sophia, and the tram. No restaurant but that was a plus for me. Many nearby hotels have a front cafe, so WH was more peaceful. Staff went out of their way to make sure we enjoyed our visit.

Nothing I didn’t like

The White House hotel was a wonderful find. Perfect location for a short walk to the sights (5mins to Blue Mosque but quiet spot)and represents everything I love about Turkey. The best of hospitality genuinely friendly and good humoured people. The owner and his team could not have done more to make our brief stay more memorable. All was delightful. From the lovely drink on arrival to instant taxi for our onward journey after looking after our luggage. The bed was super comfy and the shower was great. Breakfast was lovely and was taken on a roof terrace with a view and you can use the terrace and help yourself to quality coffee anytime. Very special place and good value for money Thank you everyone at The White House We are sure to meet again but in the meantime I will recommend your hotel to my friends as the one to book.

Room was like a mini palace. We felt like it was our honeymoon. The staff has to be the world's best. Breakfast on roof was many selections, delicious. So close to many landmarks, restaurants, tram.

Traveling with our young kids, we stayed 3 nights in 2 rooms, one double room and one family room and were pleasantly surprised by how nice and rewarding our stay at the White House Hotel was. Exceptional cleanliness, inside and outside. Both our rooms were immaculate, the bathrooms especially were cleaner than many 5 star hotels we have stayed in. The breakfast was fantastic, great assortment of fresh cheese and olives, freshly baked bread, great coffee. The entire staff, from the GM to the cleaning people were extremely friendly and welcoming, offering great advice for restaurants, transportation. This small jewel of boutique hotel has a great location within easy walking distance to all major attractions and great restaurants in Sultanahmet. Although the street front is quite lively during daytime, at night we had no distractions whatsoever and rested very well. As a bonus, it has a great view to Hagia Sophia from the breakfast terrace.
