There was no water that was provided (neither paid nor unpaid) and they asked for a container which you would need to take to the reception to get the container filled with water - a huge inconvenience!

Decor was a bit outdated. Don’t need antique sinks in bedrooms. Better to have another couch or chair for more seating.

Location was terrific. Walking distance to shopping and restaurants.

The pool wasn't very "heated." I'm somewhat disabled so the steep driveway was brutal to walk up when going to the front office. We were really sad to see this quaint place is set to be "remodeled."

We traveled with our 2 dogs. The Dutch doors are perfect when you have animals. We originally were only staying one night, and we ended up staying three.

Older property and difficult to access the lobby and no elevator. We could hear talking and walking around above us on the upper floor.

Definitely, coffee pots and mini fridge in the bathroom are a no-no in my book. Also, there are many more gluten-free options in the world than a power bar.

The hotel is definitely older but our room was very clean. Quirky room layout with mini fridge and coffee pot in the bathroom. Only outdated power bars for gluten-free guests like me. It was cold so we didn't use the pool although it also looked very clean. If you find a parking spot on the street when you arrive, take it - because parking spots associated with the hotel were full, and we weren't there during peak tourist season. The location is very good, which was the main reason we booked there. Very walkable.

Very welcoming historic hotel. Our room was small, however it had a sunny balcony with sea views. Facilities were good. A light continental breakfast was provided, however you had to take it to your room. Free parking at the hotel and outside. Location was great with a short walk to Carmel.

Location was on the hill of Carmel, but still walking distance to the beach. Food was a simple continental breakfast, but coffee or tea was good. No bathtub in my room, but the shower was fine if older. The place had charm and loved the dutch doors to see the view and get fresh air.

I didn't like the size of televisions. They are too small to watch comfortably from the bed. The price is also extremely high.

It was a little bit old fashioned and a little bit noisy from other guests walking past the room but only minor things.
