Location was perfect,being only 15 minutes walk to the Capital Building. Union station, metro and the local buses were all within a few hundred yards. Our room was a good size, the bed was massive and the bathroom well cleaned. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The 24hr coffee and tea vending was a welcome bonus that we utilised many times. The bar on the ground floor provided an easy option for evening drinks & food and despite being lively and popular, was inaudible from our room, a few floors above.

Great location. The free 24 hour coffee bar is a lovely touch. Friendly staff and was able to check in early (around midday) for no fee.

Amazing location within walking distance to Union station, Capitol and bus stops. Coffee corner helped us survive the early morning, staff was great.

The lack of availability of early breakfast. By the time the pub opened we already had to be at the events we were in D.C. to attend.

The location was great. It is close to the train station and many of the tourist sites.

I slept on the third floor and the sounds (people walking by, cars driving) from outside were very loud, windows are very, very thin. Also the curtains left in too much light (earplugs and sleepmask help a bit).

Close to Union Station (train+subway) and walking distance to The Capitol. Clean hotel with good coffee/tea/water facilities. Big room and bathroom, enough space for your stuff and toiletries, great bed.

The hotel needs to get better blinds for their room. Currently, the blinds barely block out the street lights and the sunrise in the morning.

Overall, I had a great stay. The bed was very comfortable and really good to sleep on.

Some sort of voucher or discount for the breakfast next door when staying at the hotel would have been nice.

Very friendly staff. Great location next to Union Station but still in walking distance to everything. The (free) coffee/tea lounge on the 1st floor was a great touch.

Quiet, cozy and cleaned rooms. Good price point and location for work trip. The adjacent Irish pub had good food and service.

We had a great time in this hotel. Initially we got assigned a room with a single window facing the wall. There also was a problem with a window — it wasn’t fully closing and there was a noticeable draft. I walked back to the front desk to ask if we could be moved to another room (and was happy to pay for an upgrade if nothing was available) and Fifi has kindly helped us, she found the room for the same rate which had windows facing the street. The room was next to an elevator which wasn’t a problem for us. Fifi’s support made this a really positive experience for us, we had a great time, and I can’t explain how thankful we are. Thank you, Fifi! Location is pretty good (walkable to US Capitol, Supreme Court, Library of Congress). There’s a train station nearby. Beds were rather comfy, a bit on the softer side. There was a coffee machine which makes a rather decent hot chocolate on the second floor. I also used their laundry for a quick wash and it was really quick and efficient.

The hotel price is steep. It's a beautiful place in the middle of the city, but I still felt like there were more affordable options with similar amenities.

Loved our room. The beds were very comfortable and the shower was amazing. We loved the complimentary tea and hot chocolate. We really loved dinner at the restaurant at the Irish pub. The band was awesome and we had a lot of fun. Breakfast was great, too. The proximity to Union Station was so nice and easy, as well!

Nothing thought it was a great place

Lovely room little on the small side but great for the three days we were there for. The staff were so personable and made you feel welcome from the moment you stepped through the door. Rather than being in the room there was a coffee and tea lounge in the second floor .. just stop off get your drink and carry on up to bed it worked well and meant you never ran out of your preffered tea/ coffee/ milk etc. The hotel was minutes from the Washington capitol and the start of the mall and by the train station for those using the train to get to Washington.
