Minimal-ish bedding (I'm a sleeper who likes a big blanket) and one of the women's bathroom sinks was busted and caused for a bit of traffic in the bathroom during early morning and evening sink accessibility.

The pods were exactly what we were looking for in terms of price and accomodations. The beds were firm but comfortable (as a chilly sleeper I would have loved more blankets but honestly not a complaint), light and fan were great add-ons. A few of the bathroom pieces were broken, but that happens in any place you can stay, the staff was very kind and welcoming and helped with any questions or comments I had. I loved the kitchen availability! Being in a big city calls for left overs, so having a place to keep them as well as storage for personal treats as well was so nice. Great common area with options of how you want to spend your time. Neither positive nor negative: guests kind of kept to themselves, which is 100% their prerogative, but it made for interesting interactions with other people.

I would have loved to have hard mattresses because the mattress was little too soft for my back.

The rooms, people, kitchen, common areas are clean and very well maintained. The staff is very friendly and the place has a great vibe.

The only minus is parking. We arrived on the evening so a lot of spaces were full, we had to take some rounds around the blocks to find free spot. Not impossible to make, but definitely takes time.

The hostel was very clean, everyone was so respectful. The staff was amazing, explaining everything and offering help whenever needed. Even in a room full of beds you could feel privacy behind the courtine. Highly recommend staying there!

They keep the doors propped open for a couple of the dorms. I am guessing it might be to reduce how much people are unlocking the door or something, but with the door partly open you can hear all the noise from the common areas, even from the first floor. Probably good to have those closed during quiet hours.

The curtained sleeping space was great for privacy. Full size bed plus hanging hooks and a little shelf thing were great to have. It was very clean at all times.

Parking could be challenging. Besides, as a loyal customer to this hostel, I start to feel the facility starts to wear out.

Locker 9 in suite 204 didn’t work to lock. I didn’t report it because I was in a rush & didn’t really have any valuables things to lock away. Otherwise, everything was great!

The parking was a little bit hard for us. We still could find a place to park but if you wanna park close to the property it will take you time. And you have to pay for parking. But in general everything was good!

I wish the kitchen area was a little larger. It was difficult for more than one person at a time to prepare neals.

At night walking to the place in Market street from the Gaslamp district, you got to see the troubling side of San Diego. Many homeless people in the street.

It was very clean and had a nice atmosphere inside. It delivered what I wanted in terms of something simple, elegant and cost.
