Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

United StatesThe bathroom finishes are getting rough and while it was clean it didn't seem like it was. Old grout, that was chipped, for example. The AC unit is really loud. And some of the finishing touches in the room were neglected, giving the room a slapped together feel.
Staff was super friendly and helpful. Location was decent for our needs. The beds were comfy. Plenty of pillows. TV menu easy to navigate. (Some hotels make it needlessly complicated.)

United StatesElevators took a long time; took a while when requesting your vehicle (and the charging of a second night if you go over by 30 minutes. Someone at the front desk told me that wouldn’t happen but it did). Also weird that there were no face cloths in the bathroom and only 3 sets of towels despite stating there would be 4 adults.

GermanyIn the room description, the French double bed was stated to be about 130-150 cm. In reality, however, it was only a 120 cm bed. We managed well with that, but the description should be adjusted accordingly.
The room was clean and was cleaned daily. The staff was very friendly and answered all questions. The location to the subway station on the same street and the proximity to Times Square and other attractions is particularly noteworthy.

United StatesI did not like the fact we used the hotel recommended parking garage, and the next day the clerk did not know how to validate the parking ticket, and had to pay the full priced rather than discounted price. The girl did not know how to her job.
Love the location of the hotel. Love the large shower, and filter water fountain on the floor to keep the sustainable and reusable water bottle to get water.
