such a nice change from a regular hotel. rooms are large and clean. We chose the full kitchen room which was perfect for our stay. service could not have been better . really enjoyed the pub and great beer brewed by owner Mark. Sue was especially helpful with everything !! wonderful place that we will visit again.

There was nothing I didn't like. The staff was exceptional and cared for their guests. They were personable, friendly and even sent back a coat that I left. You couldn't ask for a better places to stay.

This is one of the best places you'll ever stay in South Dakota. Lead is nestled in the Black Hills and was a mining town in the beginning. It's location next to Deadwood makes it a very attractive destination. Add to that, it's history and it's a hit in my book! Our room was exceptional and I plan to go there again and stay in the future.

Staff did well with dealing with an older building. Can't think of anything that could be changed given the facilities.

Very pleasant and helpful staff. Rooms older but quite clean and comfortable. Bed felt very comfortable. Shower hot and good power. Internet worked well. Breakfast was mostly pastries, but tasted homemade and coffee VERY good. Parking on street or in the back. I had ground floor room, appeared to not have elevator for upper floor.

Pleasantly exceeded any expectations we had in every way. We didn’t know what to expect as we were trying something different! We will be rebooking on our return trip one hundred percent!

We don’t sleep well on foam mattresses and the box elder bugs were annoying.

Love the antiques, the tall ceilings and windows, and the cleanliness of the room, and we sincerely appreciate a clean bathroom! The blue accents were a plus, too.

This historic building was the perfect place to stay while exploring the Black Hills. We stayed in the Mayor's Office and loved it. The coffee and bkfst were very good, the location was quiet (at the end of town) and directly across the street from the gold mine (lots of history!!). The restaurant just across the side street (Stampmill) was really good and you can easily walk up and down the Main Street of Lead. The staff were all very nice and happy to answer any questions we had about the area. We would stay here again!

If I had any complaints it would be that the street behind the hotel was loud. Nothing that the hotel could do to stop that though

The old time feel and the amazing history it held. The owners are very cool and the down stairs jail turn into a Brewer was neat. Plus the bartender was amazing. The restaurant next store was excellent, prime rib the best I ever had and we could just walk there.

Nothing with the Inn , but because the lack of staff in town the restaurants are closed by 8 and stores close by 4 in the downtown strip.

We especially loved how quiet this property was . No people running the halls or doors slamming :) The mattress was memory foam (I intend on researching these now to replace my own) There was an assortment of pastries and fruit with coffee, orange juice and water each morning . Our room was huge , we had a need for an additional small table to work on a laptop which they provided right away. Communication was fantastic . I received a text early the day of arrival asking for ETA and if I needed early check in that was possible . I was able to text with staff for any other needs the entire stay with quick replies. Will definitely consider staying again if ever in the area .
