I think the only thing that was missing was an espresso machine in the room :) Didnt try the breakfast as it is nicer to roam around and try a bruch somewhere around town!

Everything was better than expected. Position was great even though it could do without the massive construction work going on around the hotel. Daily happy hour was a nice welcome after wandering around town :)

I would have like to get a later check out without having to pay $50 per half hour, but I know it's a busy hotel.

Such a cool hotel, it's big but retains that boutique feel. Staff were helpful and friendly and on it.

Despite us being on the 11th floor, the clubs and noises coming from Rainey street felt like we had left a window open. I booked in advance with a note about how my wife and I were getting married earlier that day and it would be our wedding night and wanted to see if maybe something special could be arranged, but despite leaving my personal email and phone number I was never contacted.. For our 5 year anniversary a few years back, the Ritz Carlton gave us a bottle of champagne on ice for the room and went above and beyond. I expected more from the Van Zandt in regard to the similar price point. There could have been a communication breakdown as well since I booked on booking.com versus the hotels actual website.

Room was pretty well appointed and comfortable. I really enjoyed the soaking tub. Our server at Geraldine’s the next morning was very sweet and super attentive. Food was delicious too!

No hot tub in pool area. Strong perfume smell in the lobby. Room was smaller than average hotel room. Right in the middle of major construction.

The interior design was hip and interesting to look at. The restaurant was good. The complimentary happy hour was very nice.

been going to this hotel for about 8 years. was one of my favourite hotels in the world and been every year. my go to hotel. was a 4* but felt like a 5*. it’s still a 4* but now feels like a 3*. staff used to make it, now they don’t engage, barely speak and on check out wasn’t even asked if we enjoyed the stay! The room felt dirty, had huge maintenance issues, sofa bed was horrific for my children, the dressing gown was beyond spoiled and torn. overall room was really poor and staff not interested. My love affair with this hotel is over. won’t be returning

my sink was broken and they fixed it at 1 am and I had to be at a work training the next day at 730 am it was an inconvenience and they didn’t offer any perk for going through this. on top of that the girl that checked us in didn’t let us know of complimentary coffee we heard about it from someone in elevator.

The place was not very inviting. I paid 400$ for 1 night, and the rooms were not that great. There was a stain on the couch . The decor was cheap. It was very dark, and the beds were uncomfortable. And there was a fee for the amenities. Which you couldn't even use the pool. I will never stay there again or recommend it . It's too expensive for what you got

Basic / dated bedrooms and bathrooms. Large construction sites surround the hotel with jackhammers starting at 6.30am every day. huge projects so no sign of letting up any time soon Staff at the pool bar and in restaurant pretty hopeless. Regularly chasing for items and orders. 3x lifts are brutally slow during busy periods!! 10 min round trip from lobby to 13th floor.

Aesthetically pleasing in the lobby and foyer. Thoughtful design in communal areas. Front desk staff friendly and daily happy hour a welcome addition (but you pay for it with secret daily levy!)
