This family-run guest house is quietly situated in Stadt Wehlen in the heart of the Saxon Switzerland National Park, directly below the world-famous Bastei rock formation. Beautiful location. Clean room. Very lovely breakfast with homemade specialty jams etc. that even included vegan options (when requested). Staff was very kind and helpful. Contactless check-in when you come outside of check-in hours. A perfect place to rest up and enjoy nature. Parking was available and pets were allowed. Even though we didn't bring any we love meeting others' pets on holidays.

Offering a garden and a sun terrace, Pension Waldhäusl is quietly located in Bad Schandau, just a 6-minute drive from the River Elbe. Lovely idyllic hotel with a truly personal welcome and service. The building oozes character and charm: bedrooms modern, perfect size and facilities. Great breakfast. Dinners which can be had if pre-ordered are superb. The hotel is just above the road, which itself is quiet. Footpaths into the woods and mountains within a couple of minutes. Located just outside Bad Schandau, a 30 minute walk or 10 minutes by the famous tram which stops outside (bus also, but why use this!) We had no car, only used public transport, or walked - it was perfect. There is so much to see and do in and around Bad Schandau, and this is the perfect hotel to base yourself.

Quietly located in the heart of Wehlen's historic centre, the Wehlener Hof is just 100 metres from the banks of the Elbe River. It offers hearty buffet breakfasts, garden with a terrace and a bar. Everything was great, a big room, modern bathroom, comfy bed. We got a nice variety of homemade jams for breakfast, interesting salads we've never seen before. The location is great for hiking routes and also not far from Dresden (30min drive). The owner was very welcoming and provided very nice tips on local sights and hikes.

Our beautiful holiday home is close to the center and only a few minutes' walk from the Saxon Switzerland National Park. Modernly furnished with Italian flair. Great hotel near the centrum of Bad Schandau. The staff speaks germen and sometimes also czech. Great location for if you would like hiking in near national park.

Hotel Elbparadies is situated in Pirna, 5 km from Baroque Garden Großsedlitz. Guests can enjoy the on-site restaurant with its beer garden directly at the Elbe. The room is very clean, delicious breakfasts, friendly staff.

With a rooftop terrace boasting views of Lilienstein Mountain and the River Elbe, this hotel is centrally located in the town of Bad Schandau on the edge of Saxon Switzerland National Park. So many things! The standouts included the helpful staff -- really a bonus to have them make recommendations and to give us advice. We were so impressed with the breakfast! It was a delicious and wonderful spread. The room was spacious and comfortable with a wonderful view into town. I feel so fortunate to have chosen this hotel! Thanks for everything!

Situated in Bad Schandau, 800 metres from Saxon Switzerland National Park, Parkhotel Bad Schandau mit SPA boasts a seasonal outdoor pool and views of the river. We traveled by bikes to Bad Schandau so we could store them in a bike storage (they have 2 storages for bikes and e-bikes). the staff at hotel was very kind, smiling and helpful, we also received free pass for travelling by bus & train in the surroundings. The breakfast was fabulous and beds were comfortable.

Offering a picturesque location in the Saxon Switzerland National Park, Hotel Grundmühle features a daily buffet breakfast and free WiFi. Reception was very helpful; I indeed got the transit pass as promised in other reviews, which was very helpful. Breakfast was delicious - coffee on the table upon arrival. Lots of unique outdoor spaces to relax in. I liked that there were bottled refreshments (including beer/wine) available for purchase on the honor system. Location was pretty and quiet.
