Great central location, very clean and staff were lovely.
Loved the port and the naval base / ships. Loved the street markets. Loved the bars and cafes in the old town.
We didn't really need a car in Toulon - the station is walking distance from the port and you can walk to everything except beaches (which you can take a boat to reach from the waterfront.
Prices are reasonable. It is not a Moviestar / Celebrity spotting location like so many places on the Cote de Azure. It is populated by genuine and friendly local people plus some tourists.

We went to spent time with the family, the location was secondary importance. The house was nice but overall the part of the town we saw is not so pretty, lots of closed military installations. We did not do our research properly and expected a smaller, more touristic, coastal town. The Faron is nice and you have the beaches. For us it worked. Best pastries of my life at Chanteclair.

I had been to Toulon several years ago with mates for a rugby weekend but coming back this time, again for the Rugby World Cup we decided to stay close to the beach and harbour and found the location, and the city just a fantastic place to spend a few days towards the end of the summer.

We stayed in an apartment within 50 metres of the beach for one night during the off-season. We parked for free outside the property which was very convenient. There were nice cafes, restaurants and supermarkets nearby. The neighbourhood was friendly, safe and walkable. We wished we had stayed two or more days to explore a bit more.

Toulon is a nice city, offering most of what people could want.
The old parts have been tastefully restored, and with the vibrant street markets, Toulon is colorful and inviting.
There are restaurants in abundance, and there is a good cheap bus service around the area.
The seafront offers a regular inexpensive ferry service to good beaches further along the coast, and a weeks season ticket for unlimited bus and ferry use is a little under €10 pp. good value!
One point, once out of the central area, the buildings are rather dreary and unimaginative. The old parts are far nicer.

Toulon is very nice as a vacation spot; restaurants are pretty good. The weather was very hot though but, still by the sea we had a breeze that made it bereable. The night life is pretty good, too. Music, shows almost every night. There are very nice parks where you can spend time and have a good break. There are museums you can visit, The Library is very nice and the architecture is remarcable. People are nice and welcoming. There are plenty of things to do when in Toulon. We took the ferry to Le Sablette, we drove to San Tropez, to Nice, to Marseilles, to Cannes. We had a good time in Toulon!
Reception staff were friendly and helpful.
The room was clean and the bed comfortable.
It was in an excellent location right next to the Stade Mayol and also a bus stop which took you directly to the Mount Faron Telepherique and the Toulon beaches towards Mourillon.
The breakfast was good with ample choices.
The hotel was right next to a shopping mall and supermarche and very close to the Lafayette market and waterfront restaurants.
Wonderful two-bedroom apartment at the edge of the historic center and 10min walking distance from the harbour of Toulon. This place is a complete and very well equipped flat with two bedrooms, lounge with dining area and separate modern kitchen. It is newly renovated and super clean. It has a beamer, big screen and WiFi. We got parking every day in the streets close by for 2.50 EUR per day.
Excellent. We enjoyed discovering this gem. This hotel has old town charm with all the modern comforts and friendly staff. The hotel staff are flexible, willing to accommodate and offer solutions in any circumstance. Having charming multi-lingual polyglots on staff is an asset, certain to make any guest feel welcome. Perfectly located for discovering central Toulon on foot.
I specified the early check in before arriving and the hotel lady told me she prioritized my room so I can access it before the normal checking time which was highly appreciated.
The room was clean, the bed comfortable and with the double window I didn't hear any noise during the night despite a busy area.
Very well recommended!
If you arrive late at the train station in Toulon, this hotel is very handy for your first night stay. Windows are a good barrier against street noise (not too much present anyway) and the blinds against the lights. Rooms are small but comfortable. Staff is friendly. I decided to stay for the rest of the week.
Excellent staff, very polite and eager to help.
The room was very big and modern, more than enough for anyone wishing to visit Toulon.
Close to the train station, however, that didn't affect the quietness of the room.
Very good value for money
Staff is nice and warm, and property is in the center which is perfect to walk around main places of interest. Was not too expensive for a hotel in the center as we got to the place last minute. We will gladly come back again.
A simple hotel right in the centre of Toulon. A bit dated, but clean and comfortable. Our room had a little balcony overlooking the town which was a nice bonus. The reception was manned 24/7.
Very clean, excellent bathroom & kitchen, super location (for both seafronts & rugby at Stade Mayol & easy walk from station) and great value way of staying in middle of Toulon.
Location, location, location...fantastic! Right on the beach basically. The hotel itself is clean, modern and very comfortable with friendly and very helpful staff.
Hotel is situated in a very noisy busy area of town, not peaceful port side hotel as it was described on Booking.com
If you look for something quiet, reconsider
Mattieu and Fanny were excellent house owners. Always accessible via cell phone. The location is at the heart of Toulon. You can wander all around on foot.
