I stayed 3 nights in Hanoi but it's not enough especially if you will go for a Ha Long Bay Day cruise. More reasons to come back. We tried Bún Chả at the Bún Chả Đắc Kim. While it was delicious, they should reduce the quantity of the serving as there is so much wastage. Even the Europeans couldn't finish the servings. We joined 2 tours - city & food on motorbikes and we loved the experience especially since the weather in Hanoi is milder than in HCMC. Next time around it would be best to visit during the colder months and do a side trip to Sapa.

It is a safe and comfortable place to stay with privacy. The host was very friendly and always quick to guide us, and responded quickly to our requests as well. I would highly recommend this house if you are traveling for a group because there is a common space. One thing I regret is that the water pressure in the bathroom is somewhat low. The hotel was clean and comfortable and in a perfect location between the old quarter and lake and the French quarter. The breakfast was delicious with lots of Vietnamese and Western options. We also tried out the spa and had a very relaxing massage. The best part of the Bendecir hotel though is their staff - everyone there was so incredibly friendly and helpful. They helped us to arrange a trip to Ha Long bay, gave lots of tips and a great value trip.
