Fuengirola is a bustling town. Nice old town with restaurants. Beaches very close by although they are not the fine sand type. Sea front at parts is a bit tacky and very commercialised. Other parts of Spain such as Mijas are much nicer.

Very friendly and helpful locals. Loads of bars, restaurants cafes and beach goodies shops. Clean and tidy beaches, clear bluey green seas. 30 mins from Malaga airport, 40 mins from Marbella and about an hour, pending traffic, to Gibralta. Buses cheap, train trips are fairly priced cheaper than UK. There are wide range of nationalities equal not mainly English etc. OLD AND NEW BUILDINGS mixture is good for photography, mountains, sea and harbour and boats. Can hire boats, or go on trips to 6 local and longer trips around the Med. Been here about 10/11 years, so relaxing, tranquil, peaceful great place to visit, couples, family and groups, a lot of golf courses locally.

Very built up area but had everything you need. Long Promenade with lovely sandy beach. Buses were great - cheap and clean. Lots of different bars & restaurants to choose from. Prices very good. Nice walk to the Castle (free entry). Recommend The Lotus Steak restaurant! Day trip to Benalmadena via the Ferry is a good way of getting out & about. You take Fuengirola as it is, if you want bars with TV's...
You take Fuengirola as it is, if you want bars with TV's there are plenty, nightlife if you want it. A 7 kilometer seafront to walk along, very good selection of restaurants. Quiet areas away from the town. Taxis, buses and trains all available. Very Spanish still lots of pretty squares. Promenade is touristy, but a few streets back Fuengirola is a Spanish town with good facilities, excellent quality fruit and veg and fish at half the UK cost. Proper high street with clothes and shoe shops, even Botox clinics if this is your thing ! Huge Carrefour supermarket ( equivalent of Waitrows) and smaller Mercadona (equivalent of Tescos) Every type of restaurants even Indians, Thai, English fish and chip shop. Parking is difficult but area around mosque is free, don't try on a Friday or Sunday !JamesUnited Kingdom

There are many restaurants, bakeries and shops around. The room is very basic but is comfortable and large enough for a few night stays. There is a double bed, with a small table and bedside tables. Bathroom is very small, for an average built person the shower cabin is still comfortable. Breakfast was very good. Decent selection of hot and cold food.
