The hotel is beautiful, having been sympathetically renovated to make the most of its many features. It is also perfectly located for access to the many restaurants and bars in hydra town but not too noisy. It was also clean and very comfortable.

Hydra is a wonderful place for scenery-gazing and long quiet walks (soundtrack: goat bells, cocks crowing and the occasional donkey bray) - past the monasteries, to the peak of Mount Eros, or across and a scramble down to Limnioniza Beach which we had entirely to ourselves... Our two best meals were both at Techne, where the food is technically accomplished, harmonious and subtle. Jeff Koons' Apollo Wind Spinner at the Deste Project Space Slaughterhouse is a fun diversion on the road to Mandraki. And the many cats seem by and large in good health and well tended thanks to Hydra Ark.

Charming island in a 2 hour ferry ride from Piraeus. Lots of waterside cafes and other restaurants in the center. Nice easy walks along the water, or steeper hikes up the hillside. Many shops. A good place for relaxing.

NIce island. No cars. Beaches easy to access. Plenty o decent restaurants Sometimes Hydra Town gets a bit touristy mostly when the big passenger boats come in. The business goes when the passenger ships leave! Nice opportunities for walks outside town, beautiful environment. The town is clean and there are some small supermarkets to get supplies.

Pros: Clean, great food, many options, a lot to see. Good for walking, has small horses and donkeys for transportation. No cars. Everything in walking distance. Cons: many of the restaurants were not open (March 2024), while their websites said they were. Relevantly pricey. Ugly, monstrous yachts moored at the front of the little harbour. Expect tourists with an attitude - not very friendly.

Comfortable and clean room, large bathroom (sleepers, soap, shampoo and shower gel provided). There's also some tea/coffee in your room and a big bottle of water in the fridge from the hotel. The location is just perfect, only 2 minutes walking from the port but not in a busy and loud street, all the restaurants and super markets are nearby. They don't do breakfast but there is a supermarket close by and a wonderful bakery around the corner. They have a lovely terrace where you can eat in the mornings and there is a kettle in the room which we loved. Our room was small but very adequate and the bed was very comfortable. The owner was very pleasant and always on hand to help we would definitely stay again and Hydra is just such a magical place .WendyIreland

They even had a help yourself fridge full of wine and just trusted you to let them know which one you picked to pay at the end. Incredible roof top sitting area with 360 views of the port and mountains. A gorgeous, resident cat chilled in the lobby and was happy to give cuddles. So picturesque and a great location, walking distance to delicious restaurants. So happy we stayed here!

The location is perfect, facing the port and on the same level as the arrival from the boats, which means not carrying suitcases up the alleys and stairs of Hydra. The hotel itself is small but very nice, the room is perfectly clean, with a good size, comfortable bed and good shower. I did not get a room with balcony, but there’s a communal balcony where I could sit down and enjoy the view. The staff is also very cordial and kind.

The water is very hot. The owner was very nice and already waited for us. As we forgot our toothpaste the owner was helpful in providing us with a small toothpastetube.

Room was very nice, comfy big bed and spacious bathroom. It's literally 5 minutes to the port and the road to hotel is flat. Big plus the terrace with tables and chairs.
