Very nice, clean hotel with a good choice of food for breakfast & dinner including the buffet Sicilian night (we had a half board package). Staff were polite & generally friendly. The air conditioning worked well in our superior room & complimentary soft drinks in the mini bar was a welcome bonus. Lovely views from the balcony & the garden area was nice to walk around. If you're dropped off with baggage at the entrance by the bus station, just ring the bell & they will send their "man with a van" round to collect your luggage & you can then go up in the lifts to reception. Excellent location for local amenities including the bus terminal.

As you admire crystal-clear turquoise seas from a Taormina piazza swathed in vibrant pink blossom, you could be forgiven for thinking that you were in paradise. The stunning location of this picturesque town is its crowning glory.
However, it’s not its only glory. Surrounded by trees just below the main town, the Greek Theatre is also a triumph. Its largely intact seating offers wonderful views across the stage towards Mount Etna fuming away in the distance. Spine-tingling summer performances are still held here, and several of the town’s bars also offer live music.
Corso Umberto I runs through the heart of Taormina, from Piazza Corvaja to the 13th-century cathedral, and houses many shops and cafés. Midway along is Piazza IX Aprile, whose clock tower and church are overlooked by a rocky hill topped with a castle.
A cable car runs from the town down to the beautiful Taormina beaches (where the train station is also found). At the centre of the W-shaped bay is little Isola Bella, an island nature reserve. To the south-west is the long stretch of sand at Giardini-Naxos, and north is the bay by Mazzaró.
As you would expect of Sicily’s most beautiful resort, there is no shortage of Taormina accommodation on Booking.com, including 5-star hotels on the beach, town centre apartments and luxury B&Bs.

Taormina is an undeniably beautiful town that captures the charm of Sicily with its stunning views and Greek History. One of the highlights of visiting Taormina is the views one of which is Mount Etna, which serves as a magnificent backdrop to the town. However, it is very pricey and touristy, which can detract from its authenticity and local feel.
The town boasts an array of high-end shops and restaurants, catering to visitors seeking luxury and fine dining experiences. It's an excellent place to visit for a day trip, allowing you to soak in the sights, enjoy the upscale ambiance, and perhaps indulge in some shopping.
The beaches below Taormina, while picturesque, are primarily reserved for guests staying at the beach resorts. The public areas on these beaches are relatively small and can get crowded and you can be bothered by street vendors, especially during peak tourist season. If you're planning to spend a day at the beach, staying at one of the resorts might offer a more comfortable and exclusive experience.
In summary, Taormina is a delightful destination for a day trip, especially if you appreciate high-end shopping and dining, and want to enjoy a stunning view of Mount Etna. However, be prepared for the tourist crowds and limited public beach access.

It is super full of tourists. We were there in late May. During the day, the day trip groups come to the town and it becomes hard to walk on the streets or find a sport in a restaurant. The prices in the restaurants are high.

Taormina is a 'must see' destination and has so much to offer. We visited Savoca nearby whilst staying in Taormina which was a real treat. We also had an excellent dinner one night in Giardini Naxos and were serenaded by a folk group who made the night magical. We will definitely be returning.

A marvellous location and unique natural beauty have earned this city the nickname of Pearl of the Ionian Sea. The distinctive city of Taormina in eastern Sicily is perched on a rock above sea level, with awe-inspiring views over Mount Etna and the coastline.
Like many other tourism hotspots, you have to plan carefully to avoid tourist traps and not get stuck in huge crowds.

Loved the location, lots to explore on foot with the Corso Umberto for shopping and eating, the Greek Theatre and the Botanical gardens for a quiet place to reflect and enjoy the views, and a play area for the children.
The cable car is worth using to access the beaches which again are well serviced with food, drink and toilet facilities.
Fabulous food, Mount Etna on your doorstep and great shopping.
We decided spontaneously to stay a night in Taormina ( wow what a piece of heaven)
And booked a room at the hotel… when we arrived they upgraded our room to the best room we ever stayed in our mid long life… open sea view From every window and a big and amazing terrace!!!!
They saw that it is my husband birthday so they spoiled us with a wonderful cold ice champagne!!!!
Wowwww!!!
The breakfast is off course wonderful and the pool area also 5 star experience!!
We are counting the minutes to come back!!
The hotel is so homely! Decorated in the most beautiful artwork. It's also one of the cleanest places I've ever stayed. The location was perfect - an extremely short walk to the centre of Taormina. The views from the rooftop were amazing - I just wish I had more time to utilise it! The staff were so helpful - Luca especially was available to discuss and make suggestions to our group at any time via WhatsApp. It exceeded my expectation.
Great location in a quiet street overlooking the gulf of Taormina, but not far from the centre of the city. Restaurants and shops easily reachable.
The sea view from the room I booked is breathtaking. I lived sitting on the balcony and watch the sunrise, the sunset and everything in between. Even the bathroom has a window with sea view! The hotel ans the rooms are kept clean. The staff is friendly and helpful.
Giuseppe was absolutely fantastic. He made an intentional effort every day to ensure that our experience in Taormina was perfect. What I admire most about him, is the pride he takes in his family business.
The rooms were exceptionally clean, the staff was extremely friendly and the breakfast was outstanding! Not to mention the location of the hotel is perfect.
We could not recommend this hotel enough!
I really liked this hotel. The decor is dated but very well kept and of good quality. Super clean and quite. The bed super comfortable. The toilet looked renovated. It is basic but in a good way. It is strategically positioned, next to the bus station, the cable car and Taormina town centre. With what you pay in Taormina, the low price exceeded my expectations. Would go back again
Fantastic views, good selection of food for breakfast, very friendly staff. We stayed in the hotel for 5 days and it was the best holiday ever! This hotel deserves 5 stars! It has everything needed for comfortable stay plus the building itself is absolutely gorgeous! Will be back for sure and will recommend Bel Soggiorno to everyone looking for a superb place to stay in Taormina.
Everything was in the apartment and It looked clean. Nice little balcony for yourself with an amazing view over the ocean and Isola Bella. A busstop right in front of the hotel that takes you to the station.
The check in was great. The worker told me how to get into the town of Taormina, explained very well where I could find the centre and was very polite.
I wish I could this property more then 5 stars. The apartment was exceptionally clean. The bed was so comfortable. The shower was absolutely lovely too. Easy parking right on the street in front of the apartment too. This was our fourth place we have stayed in Italy/Sicily and it was by far the best, cleanest, and most comfortable place we have stayed.
Staff was very helpful. Hotel was very clean. Excellent pool and view to the sea and Etna. Breakfast was fine. Beach reachable by shuttle two times a day (7€/person), beach for free - very nice, clean, with umbrellas and towels. Perfect location of the hotel - close to the Taormina centre, shops, bars, trattorias….
Tremendous location as close to the sea as you can get in Taormina. The host was exceedingly helpful and they provided lovely goodies to enhance the stay. These were all appreciated and very lovely touches.
It is very 5 star modern which isn’t that common in Sicily in our experience.
The hotel was situated in a beautiful spot, quiet but central. amazing views from the pool and balconies, nice breakfast.
exceptionally comfortable beds and pillows. a great stay for the whole family. a nice bonus is the shuttle offered to the sister hotel on the beach.
This hotel has old world charm! You feel like you are in Sicily! The location is on the beach. All rooms have sea view(amazing)!! Chairs & towels are included in price as is breakfast. This hotel & rooms are very clean( white sheets & white soft towels)
The location was perfect for us in Taormina, close to walk to shops and restaurants. We chose this hotel as we had 2 teens with us and it had a pool. We opted for the best rooms and the views were spectacular! The rooms were clean and tidy.
This is a fantastic family run hotel in the perfect location with a short walk from the centre of Taormina. The staff couldn't do enough for us and were warm and caring. Wouldn't hesitate to return for another visit.
The front desk went above and beyond to make sure we saw everything in Taormina, and arranged for car service. I cannot say enough good things about the customer service! We will recommend this hotel to everyone!
It’s been a magic night in Taormina. The Hotel was actually in the middle of the city center, super comfortable and strategically located. I really suggest that place ! Five stars
