We stayed there just to arrive for Expo in Bremen, but there was a strike and all trains were cancelled so one day we had to spend in Bremerhaven. For me, it was much more beautiful city than Bremen - the views were amazing, especially near the sea.

I came home to my family and brought my son to meet them. He got to see the city I grew up in and explored the streets and stores.
The best Giros in my opinion is The Kombüse. I've been a customer there since I was I teenager.

I liked the area around the old, new and Kaiser harbors including along the river. The Emigration Center was excellent. Unfortunately, very few interpretive signs along the harbors and what little there was was all in German. That would be a problem for non-German speakers. No English in the Historisch Museum either.

A sleepy town with nothing much to do.
A sleepy town with nothing much to do. The museums are small and not very impressive.
There is a beach, but it's small.
I was there for work. But I would not recommend the place for travel or tourism.

Very interesting town but I think for a maximum of 3-5 days of sightseeing. You can go to the port to see some ships, there is also a U-boot submarine to visit. We were very satisfied with the journey to Klimahaus where you can experience the climate difference in the different places on the Earth's meridian (there are COOL fries in the canteen, tasty and crispy). Nearby there is a shopping center with some restaurants and cafes. If you need to make more food shopping the best place is Kaufland or EDEKA, where is the highest diversity of products rather than Lidl/Netto/Aldi. There is also nice architecture i.e. old churches or modern mosques. On the coast, you can take a water tram ride. Assumming a very interesting city for a long weekend. There is also a small ZOO where you can see penguins and a hotel with a viewing platform where you can see the panorama of the city. You have to remember that souvenirs are open only till 6 PM and all other shops till 7 PM on Monday-Saturday, Sunday everything is closed. After this time you can only buy anything at petrol stations like JET or Aral.
The hotel was beautiful! The room was big and very clean and the staff was SO nice. Parking was a little tight but it seemed the hotel had multiple lots you could use. Breakfast was very good with a lot of options. The pool was a little small but there were not many people staying there at the time. Location is near bars and restaurants and a short walk to the water front. The hotel has a self service bar in the lobby and a restaurant.
I liked everything - a spacious room, beds, a large selection of breakfast with a view of the canal, a view from the room, a panorama from the roof of the hotel, a trolley for luggage.
Although it is further from the city center, it is a quieter area. There is a large selection of restaurants and an information center nearby (unfortunately I knew more about walking trails from Google Maps than the specialist working there).
Great location right by the marina. We just happened to have terrible weather ... but it was a nice spot to hang out indoors, too! Full kitchen, comfy bed, nice views, warm.
Also the hosts were great, I changed my plans several times and the were very accommodating, attending to me in English!
They also made some nice recommendations for things to do & places to eat; we had a nice time in Bremerhaven, thank you!
The gentlemen at the reception desk was super accomadating. We came in super late, and he allowed us to buy beers. Probably one of the nicest and friendliest hotels I've stayed in all of my years in germany. He even gave us directions to the freeport and enterprise. I'd stay here anytime I have to go to Bremerhaven. The view out on the water was also magnificent.
The hotel was easy to find and in a quiet area on the harbor. Free parking spaces and breakfast included. Staff were very helpful and friendly. We were able to check out and leave our car parked at the hotel until we left Bremerhaven. I loved the fan in the room. We were able to walk to the center and also the climate museum, definitely recommend visiting that!
Helpful staff. They were willing to adjust to my food allergies upon request made by me during the booking process. The room size is nice. Breakfast buffet looks fresh and inviting. Overall a good place to stay, I will use them again as they are my go-to Hotel in Bremerhaven after testing several others in that price range.
Great, especially considering the competition. Clean and spacious rooms, staff is pleasant.
Most reviews for other properties in the area were quite scary..5s & 6s and low 7s..so I went for this hotel, more expensive than the rest..because I went by the reviews from other users. I didn’t regret making that decision.
We did not use the breakfast facilities, which would have entailed pre-booking and a short car journey. We were coming from a funeral service 400kms away, so arrived after 9pm, so at least collections of keys at a hotel desk was a good way of accessing the property as we did not know actual time of arrival.
The breakfast was fantastic. The views from the hotel were amazing and there is an observation deck on the roof with amazing views of the whole harbor (for an extra fee). The staff was very helpful. I got to check in early and they happily stored my luggage after check out.
The location is just perfect. It is very close to most of the main attractions in Bremerhaven. The staff there was ready to help. We had a problem with the heater and warm water and the staff came to help immediately.
The hotel was amazing. The rooms were beautifully set up. We had a room facing the water and it was a perfect view. The staff were very friendly and professional. The breakfast was very delicious. A superb stay.
Excellent help from staff allowing us storing our bikes for a few days while away from the city. Excellent breakfast. We got a nice quiet room in the back of the hotel.
