This was one of the nicest places we stayed during our trip to Portugal. The room was clean and comfortable. We had a river view room which provided a spectacular view of the Duro. Enjoyed sitting out on the balcony The staff was very friendly and helpful Patricia and Rafela made great suggestions for touring Quintas and even made reservations for us at these places. Paulo gave great recommendations for dinner and was very helpful Parking was on the property and free. The breakfast had many choices and tables provided a view of the river We would definitely stay here again

We've stayed here quite a few times now. It's right outside the station so very convenient. It's always clean and comfortable, without any frills. Cheap, but perfectly acceptable. Can't fault it.

Swimming pool; our host kindly stored our bicycles in an outbuilding. Nice breakfast (although a bit late for us - 0830).

Lovely stay. Whilst we were there we had the most wonderful wine tour with a really knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide, and with a tasting of some lovely wines. Dinner was delicious. Breakfast too. We'd been meaning to visit the Douro Valley for a long time and were not disappointed!

Fantastic hosts, friendly and welcoming and nothing to much trouble
We loved the welcome and helpful staff. The room we had and views were excellent. we were able to extend our stay to go on a riverboat and steam train as well as visit Pocinho. The wine bar opposite the Museum was excellent and the Museum well worth a visit.

The Douro Valley is beautiful. Our stay was too short.
The Douro Valley is beautiful. Our stay was too short. The big thing I would encourage travelers to do is to make reservations and tour plans prior to visit. Wineries are often booked for bigger tours and not accepting drop ins.

We loved our stay. The family and staff are amazing! I can't emphasize how welcome we felt. The dinner was delicious and the port/wine parings lovely. They also arranged taxis for us on two occasions. Would love to come back.

Very friendly welcome but took a few minutes to gain access to the property. It was a 25 minute walk to the station but taxis readily available and affordable. Close to supermarkets.
Tio Manel restaurant in Regua was excellent - in terms of food quality, service and pricing.
Boat trips from Quayside to Pinhao and from there to a selection of Quintas. The Croft tour and tasting was very good - informative and good value for money.

A change of plans brought us to Porto - and a spontaneous trip to Douro Valley and we picked Quina Estrada from the net. We made an expert choice! What a delightful, warm, beautiful and comfortable place. So rich in history, family and culture. The people are helpful and genrous with their time and information.

It was the height of the tourist season (middle of August) and there was also a public holiday. The town was very busy and put quite a strain on restaurants and bars. Previous visits have been off season and the town copes a lot better, providing a more relaxed experience.
Our stay at Casa do Romezal was a highlight of our trip to Portugal that Jane and I will always treasure. Breakfast was sensational. We loved Margarida's homemade pastries and breads, freshly squeezed juice, and the local cheeses and hams at our breakfast. Simply sensational. Don't miss the vineyard tour and wine tasting with Luis! Margarida and Luis made everything about our stay absolutely perfect. We will be placing an order for wine very soon. We look forward to seeing you if you are ever in the United States.
Our room was very spacious, clean and decorated very nicely. The Breakfast was very good. We were given several choices how we would like our eggs prepared. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Pool area was great. Everything in the house is beautiful. The property is managed by the son of the owner. It used to be the primary family home. Now it feels like a cross between luxurious B&B and luxurious hotel. Secured parking was nice.
Loads of space. Room was large and comfortable. A little rustic as you would expect on a farm. Host Luis was warm and generous. He also gave good recommendations for a day drive and Douro viewpoints. We were able to just stroll around the farm and vineyards with a friendly dog leading the way. Wine tasting dinner was educational and a must try. We have no regrets about staying at the Quinta.
A beautifully restored old town house located in a quiet and pleasant part of the town. The suite was spacious and well equipped and it was great to have a balcony with a view to the surrounding hills.
The breakfast was good and served in a pleasant dining area.
The staff were all very pleasant.
Regua was a good base for visiting the area by public transport.
Margarida was lovely and took excellent care of us.
The view from the room is priceless.
A lovely pool: clean and cold water helped us through the heat.
The facilities and suite design is lovely.
The location: 5 minutes drive from Pesua da Regua.
Luis gave us a very nice wine tour through the Winery and we bought some nice wines/port to take home with us.
This place is on the main road across from the boats. A temporary fair (with rides, etc.) was an enjoyable experience at night. The location allowed me to take side trips - Pinhao (train) and Lamego (bus). At the end of my stay, I was able to take one of the few buses from Regua to Lisbon. The staff was polite and met me on time for the key exchange.
The interior and exterior design of the hotel is beautiful. The views all over are spectacular. The quinta is really impressive.
We stayed 4 nights there because we wanted to enjoy everything that the property has to offer.
The wine tasting and the presentation of the process of wine production was also very interesting.
The apartment is very nice, large and well-equipped. It's in the centre of Regua that is a perfect place to start your trips from in the area. We've had the best sleep here, maybe it was the bike trip we were doing, but the bed was great
The apartment is beautiful and very comfortable. The view is stunning. The wooden floor in the whole apartment is something uncommon in Portugal and gives the place a lux-cosy touch. The check in was flawless.
Casa de Azenha is a wonderful place to stay and recharge you batteries. The place itself is so beautiful, and the staff went out of their way to make our stay perfect. A really magical part of Portugal!
Nice stay at the Imperio Hotel. Convenient for the railway station and onward trip along the Duoro Valley. Rooms warm and comfortable, breakfast enough to start the day with. Thank you A+++++
The was was spotless, well equipped and comfortable with stunning views across The Valley and the Douro river.
Henrique, our host was very friendly and helpful. We will certainly be back!
This is not a luxury hotel but does all the basics very well. Free onsite parking. Good bed, decent shower. Good breakfast. Friendly staff. Very reasonable price.
