The hotel was good, the location was good. Easy check in process, nice breakfast. Only let down was the rooms not being very clean, with hairs on the floor and dust on all the surfaces.

Very comfortable and spacious room, nicely furnished. I particularly like the bathroom, the space and materials made it feel luxurious. The hotel main hall is also quite beautiful and you can get free coffee and flavored water there. You can book massage sessions in the facility, which I definitely recommend. I would have stayed in this hotel longer.

The location was perfect for us - only a couple of minutes walking from the station which was perfect when dragging suitcases. Despite the closeness to the station, the hotel was quiet with only a little noise from outside making it to our room (not enough to disturb). Room had everything we needed - we didn't have any meals so cannot comment on these.

Kanazawa is great if you are into arts and crafts and want to buy hand crafted souvenirs. Another reason to visit is to drink sake as the city has really old distilleries. The city has a Jazz scene, I was able to visit one Jazz bar where they played records, it was excellent. It also has several amazing gardens, including one of three most amazing gardens in Japan called Kenroku-en. It apparently manages to achieve all 6 important garden principles in a single garden which is said to be extremely hard. City is walkable and have a large bus network. Another reason is that you can do day trips to Shirakawa-go and Takayama, there are many tours and they are well worth doing. Shirakawa-go is simply amazing. Finally, the Shinkansen line going to Tokyo has beautiful views.

Kanazawa has a relaxed vibe and a friendly atmosphere. There was plenty to do and many things were free or inexpensive. The castle and gardens were beautiful and we also enjoyed the markets, the samurai area and other museums.

The Castle grounds, museum of modern art, night lit botanical garden and the acquarium are excellent, and my kids also had a good time climbing the various rock formations/ sitting on a boatride to see the sea caves, and soaking in the sakura. (the latter 3 activities require a drive out of Kanazawa itself)
Make sure to visit the Aquarium! Family friendly, well curated, and very reasonably priced.
Be sure to eat at the seafood market - the sea urchin and unagi on offer will speak for itself

Kanazawa was brilliant, especially after Kyoto.
Kanazawa was brilliant, especially after Kyoto. While Kyoto was crowded and set-up to process lots and lots of people, here it was so different. The cherry blossom festival in the park was full of people, but it wasn't heaving, like so much of Kyoto, and it was mostly Japanese people. There's so much to see and do here! People were super friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. The castle area is beautiful, especially at night. The various Chaya areas were pleasant too. We rented kimonos and went for a rickshaw tour around Kanazawa, which was a highlight of the whole trip.

We spent 4 days in Kanazawa.
We spent 4 days in Kanazawa.
Taking time to enjoy beautiful parks during cherry blossoms.
Parks looked like from the postcard, presenting top level of Japanese garden art. Including windy paths, streams, small bridges, bonzai trees. Elaborated to every detail.
City walls impressed me, and at well preserved samurai district we could find out how the life looked like 300-400 years ago.
If I will have more time, I will spend couple days more here.
Wow, beautifully decorated new property. Room was definitely a five star accommodation. All staff were so friendly and smiles. Breakfast buffet consists of western and Japanese affair, the selection was enormous and the chefs are freshly preparing the dishes, it was definitely a 2 star Michelin rating. Make your BK reso when booking this hotel, it fills up fast. Concierge helped me with restaurant reservations and train reservations. Free shuttle bus to Kanazawa train station. Washer and dryer available.
Such a great hotel! We really enjoyed our 2 nights at Hotel Torifito, staying in a Family Suite. The room was very spacious for a family of 4 (2 adults & 2 teens), modern and clean. The room had a super view on the 13th floor. Only 4 min walk to Kanazawa Station and a short bus ride to attractions like 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art.
Breakfast was delicious with a mix of Japanese and Western items. Staff were kind and welcoming and the laundry room was great. Would definitely stay again.
This is my second review of Hotel Pacific, Kanazawa. I am not going to repeat what I said previously, but just say that I returned to Kanazawa for another night just to stay at this hotel one more time before returning to the UK. Why? Because the staff are amazing. In the future, when I think about my holiday in Japan, I will always remember the friendship of the Hotel Pacific staff.Yes, I would truly say that they have become friends in just three days. You can't ask for more than that.
The room was a very decent size and there was even a table for 2, a washing machine and a microwave, which all came in useful. The staff were very friendly as well and helped us find our way around. The breakfast buffet has a traditional Japanese section and a continental breakfast selection as well. The hotel was very close to major attractions, and also near bus stops that could take you to and from Kanazawa JR station. Overall, very happy with my stay and will be coming back!
The best stays we had in this Japan trip. Barely 5 min walk to Kanazawa train station. Staff was very helpful with our form filling for the local luggage delivery service. The lady even called the hotel where we are sending our luggage to, to confirm the details. Coffee and tea station at reception and additional toiletries can be picked up by guests who needed them. Breakfast was a nice variety. Cleanliness is top notch.
This was the best hotel we stayed at while traveling in Japan. Such a great value.
11 am check-out time. How many hotels still do that? Comfortable room. You can enjoy a complimentary drink and unlimited coffee, nice bath and face products.
You are very close to Kanazawa station and Omicho market. We didn't have to use the loop bus, all of the sightseeing are basically within a walking distance.
The breakfast was delicious. A Japanese buffet breakfast was provided and there was a range of foods to please everyone. I really enjoyed using the onsen after a day of sightseeing. It was very clean and very relaxing. The location of the hotel was great, within walking distance of the major sites in Kanazawa, as well as restaurants and shops.
The staff and the owner were so welcoming and helped us with any requests we had. They even offer free Udon in the evening which we unfortunately couldn't taste... The room was really spacious for Japanese standard. Otherwise, the hotel is really well located, close to the main station but also to the main attractions in Kanazawa.
I cannot rate this hotel highly enough. During our three weeks in Japan this was by far the most spacious and beautifully designed hotel we stayed in. The staff were very helpful and pleasant, the bar served delicious sake and noodles on an evening. The room - wow. Definitely stay here if you are visiting Kanazawa!
Extremely welcoming and friendly staff. Lovely style of the hotel and the intérior design of the room. Rooms larger than average in Japan, woth sauna and bathtub. Perfect location in walking distance from the train station and visit all the main sights of Kanazawa. Good japanese breakfast.
This is a comfortable hotel, well managed, and for my purposes in Kanazawa, it is perfectly situated near shrines, parks, gardens, the fish market, and lovely small cafes and restaurants. The high point for this hotel is its bath. Well worth the stay, just for the bathing!
Simple and clean rooms with all the necessary facilities. The hotel is within walking distance from all tourist spot in Kanazawa. The coffee at the reception’s cafe is a delicious blend. The staff was very friendly and professional. I definitely recommend this hotel!
woww,i loved very much saranku hotel, very beautiful room, the breakfast was the best i had in japan, the location was perfect ,close te everything ,the staff of the hotel are the best ,very kind and lovely, this hotel ticks all the boxes.best hotel in kanazawa
The location was reasonably close to Kanazawa Station. The room, though not spacious, was adequate. We did not eat breakfast at the hotel, but did have dinner at the restaurant on the first floor of the building, an Italian Restaurant that was very good.
Very good breakfast, a selection of both Western and Japanese food. Quiet and very comfortable room, could not fault the cleanliness. The shower is sensational. Excellent and helpful staff. Would highly recommend this hotel for a stay in Kanazawa.
Great location - we walked to and from Kanazawa station to the hotel and were easily able to walk around to see the sights directly from the hotel.
Clean room, reasonable size.
By far the best value hotel we stayed in whilst in Japan.
The location was good especially if you have to check in on a rainy day like us. We took bus from Kanazawa Station and walked through Omicho market to reach the hotel.
