We loved Ciutadella. It's a beautiful historic town, full of elegant buildings, outdoor cafes and restaurants, nice shops, easy to get around. It has an interesting culture, and an authentic, lively atmosphere. We visited Ciutadella in an off season, which meant a calm city with little amount of tourists. Since it was still winter season many restaurants were not open unfortunately and the water temperature was a bit cold. Ciutadella is a good option for anyone wanting a quiet and easy holiday. Admittedly there isn't a lot to do here but swim and eat, but that's what makes it the perfect place to just switch off and rest. Getting to the famous beaches is so easy, there are buses available from the town square that are designated to each beach and have no other stops - I highly recommend pre-booking your return trip though as the buses can only seat like 30 people. The problem was that we thought we,d booked in Cuitadella but the apartment was actually in Cala en Blanes. Cuitadella is 20 mins bus trip and is beautiful. Cala en Blanes is for families not travelling anywhere. Plenty for kids. Run down now.

The hotel itself is decorated really well and the facilities in the rooms are great. The bed is super comfy and there are lovely little touches to the room which make it feel very homely. Alyssa and Alvaro provided a really warm welcome, lots of great recommendations and couldn’t have been more accommodating. I can’t recommend this hotel highly enough!

Fernando was very friendly and always available to help. The hotel is just a short walk from the centre and we loved that we received a document to our phone which detailed all the best bars, restaurants and beaches in Menorca ! Our neighbours upstairs were very loud walking around all the time but this is not a fault of the hotel.

The hotel staff and owners are very friendly and make you feel at home. Also, they are always keen to share tips on how to best explore Menorca or provide insights that only locals have. I would absolutely stay there again.

It's a half hour walk into Ciutadella but not unpleasant and there are busus at the end of the road. The breakfasts are lovely with a great range of cold choices and hot food made to order. Our only disappointment was the 'breakfast bag' we had on our departure morning was very boring after such a lovely choice in the dining room.
