Booked because the pool area looked the best for the price and it did not disappoint. Lovely pool area, with loungers, grasses areas, hammocks and couches. Rooms were basic but clean, which was fine as we spent barely any time in there anyway! Breakfast was ok, but nowhere really nearby as an alternative option so was an easy option. Plus they had a bar, which of course restaurants do not. Ps nearby Full Sun cafe had the best food we had on our long weekend stay :)

Ouarzazate is a wonderful stop on the way to Murzouga, however it would also be a nice destination. The surrounding desert is beautiful and there are many riads with pools and restaurants perfect for relaxing and unwinding. It was a wonderful place to visit after the frenzied and pushy atmosphere of Marrakesh.

Small city so easy to navigate.
Small city so easy to navigate. Taxi drivers waited for us at out of town attractions. Highlights were quad biking around film sets, hammam spa and eating home cooked food in a Berber village. All arranged by our accommodation.

The city is split into two sections, one where the tourists stay (North - Ouarzazate) and the other is where the locals stay (South - Tabounte)
We loved Ksar Ben Youssef the hotel there, it is in an area where mostly locals stay and there is a good restaurant near it called Cafe Restaurant la Montana where we ate and picked up some shopping from the petrol station shop
We also ate at Nature Food Restaurant and Pizzeria which was very well priced
Travel around Ouarzazate is easy with taxis, they typically charge about 100 Dhs from and to the airport, and about 50 for the inner city stuff (there were 5 of us) I think they charge things like this, 5 Dh + 5 Dh per kilometer per person or something close to that
The touristy area is very clean and built up quite nicely, the locals area is a little more run down but we enjoy to stay close to the locals and see how they live
We had a bad experience at Ecolodge Lile De Ourzazate, although the idea of their place is nice to have an eco friendly place, we found that it was not as advertised in ways which made our stay there unpleasant
Overall our stay in Ouarzazate was good, we visited a place called Ksar Ait Ben Haddou - if you do and its summer make sure you go in the morning or afternoon, because it is very hot around mid day. They also have some studios there and locations where they filmed the movie Gladiator which the locals are very proud of.
If we go back I would like to visit the other areas nearby such as Marzouga 300km away to check out the desert, there is also another area about 200km away which apparantly has nice oasis / lots of palm trees but I cant remember the name

Once again thanks to Yahya and the other hotel staff.

Located right in between the Atlas Mountains and the Sahara...
Located right in between the Atlas Mountains and the Sahara Desert - Ourzazate is a relatively new city but done up in the traditional Kasbah architecture. It’s famous for its film studios where a number of Historical films were shot. It’s a place where most tourists stay a night on their way to Merzouga (To see Sand dunes) or to Ait-Ben Haddou which is a Unesco world heritage site of one of the best maintained settlements where all houses / buildings are made of clay. Best part is the journey through Atlas Mountains from Tizin Tichka to Ourzazate on the long winded mountainous route alongside the Dra valley. Scenes are surreal and feel as if it’s on Mars given the amount of red clay you see in the mountains.
For the price, one can't expect too much but the place is basic but in a quiet location which is what i wanted. 30 mins drive from the Airport, real straightforward to get to, and some real good restaurants 2mins drive away. Amenities are superb with an excellent shower and warm water. If it's luxury you're after, this isn't it (but you should know this from the price) but it has everything you NEED for your stay, and the Staff are very polite, professional, welcoming and efficient. Very good stay here....
The place is located on the outskirts of Quarzazate and it's a camp with a few huts and a small hotel. We stayed in the huts to try to imagine the berber's way of life. We definitely saw lots of stars and got quite close to the nature. We had a very comfortable stay and a good breakfast. The staff was very helpful and the place is a perfect stop between the buzz of Medina in Marrakech and the silence of desert in Merzouga, It's also a short drive from Ait Ben Haddou -- a legendary filming set location.
Best place we’ve stayed in Morocco.
The hotel is extremely curated in every aspect, welcoming kit, guardian if you have a car, carpets on the floors of every area in the building make you feel cozy and cuddled.
Food-wise they are very thoughtful, being aware of allergies, and also having haccp certification.
Rooms are beautifully equipped with everything you could possibly need.
Staff was amazing in being gentle and helpful for every need.
The restaurant, pool, pool area, rooms and private patio area all exceeded my expectations. The buffet breakfast offered a huge selection of fresh and delicious food. The pool is long enough for lap swimming, which was a huge plus for anyone who enjoys swimming for exercise. The hotel is literally attached to Atlas Studios, which made it easy to tour the studios at our convenience.
The staff is super friendly and welcoming! The whole hotel is new, and well and smart designed. The pool area is clean and big. The breakfast was the best we had (and we had several good ones!) in morocco. For us it was the perfect stop on our roadtrip to get some relaxation, sun and service :-) the bed is very comfy and not so hard like most of the other beds in Morocco.
Go here!
Staying in this riad made an unforgettable memories. The accomodation was clean and nicely furnished, with small detailes that make it luxury. The breakfast was various and tasty. But the main impact made the guy who invited us there and also was there for us the whole time. He was really kind and gave us many helpful information and recommendation. Thank you for your hospitality!
Warm welcoming, stylish ambiance, cozy dining area, friendly and helpful staff.
I will remember this place with the best Moroccoan Briwat ever tested (especially the one with cheese) and the best bed linens ever slept in. The fabric was gently perfumed, pure white and velvety soft, creating an overall sense of luxury and tranquility, enhancing every moment of relaxation.
The location is wrong. The right location is: 30,9181472, -6,9036976. Very close to the famous kasbah in Ouarzazate. The sign on the main entrance says "Hotel Riad Salam" instead of "Le Tichka". I went in June and the swimming pool was the BEST part of our stay there. The breakfast was fine and the staff was nice. Our room was very spacious and had AC.
Apartment was located close to airport and main square of ouarzazate. It had easy public parking at front which was quiet throughout so we were easily able to park our rented car at the front. Hotel staff has provided us with additional individual beds (mattress with pillow and blanket on the floor) rather than us having to use 2 sofa beds.
EVERYTHING!!!
I feel like I must let more people know about this hotel to make sure it will not go out of biz one day:p
The staff were super helpful and friendly. The decor is a mix of Japanese and Morroco styles. The food was amazing and I seriously think they had a Michelin chef working in the kitchen.
Actually our best Riad experience we had until now in our trip thru Morocco. Staff is extremely friendly and professional, it is super clean, food is amazing and nice, tranquil location, just outside of Ouarzazate. Would definitely recommend to experience it, while visiting Ouarzazate.
The owner has been extremely kind with us, he basically opened the place only for us, because we were the only guests. He also cooked one of the best tajine we had in Morocco for a very cheap price. The place is on the road, but it is very nice and fresh even in deep summer.
I had a wonderful stay at Rose Valley Hotel. The staff, especially Said, were incredibly helpful and made my experience memorable. The hotel was impeccably clean and the breakfast offered was truly delightful. I highly recommend this hotel for a fantastic stay!
Beautiful hotel with I credibly friendly and attentive staff. Delightful breakfast and one of the best beds I’ve ever slept in!!
Iness and samira were brilliant. A true credit to the hotel.

The entire place was beautiful. It has many terraces and the staff are exceptionally kind. The best part by far is the staff. But that should not that take away from the beauty of the building. Do yourself a solid and stay here while I'm Ouarzazate.
Hotel staff was amazing, very close to a lot of attraction walking distance, breakfast was good, the room was good with all accommodations needed and a working satellite tv, beautiful balcony view, will definitely stay there again if I'm here.
Everything was amazing. The best combination of authentic and luxury. The price is good, when the service from the staff and the amazing breakfast make it feel like a five star luxury hotel. Would recommend everyone to stay here!
Friendly host! The room was decent, the breakfast very good. Unfortunately the earthquake hit Ouarzazate the second night, but the support afterwards illustrated the Moroccan friendliness and helpfulness of the hotel staff.
The room nr 212 on the first floor at the back of the hotel was quiet and the bed was softer than usual in Morocco. The receptionist is very nice and helpful.
