I liked the cleanness of the city. The weather was good.
I liked the cleanness of the city. The weather was good. A lot of things to do malls complex's with other things you can do. I believe I saw a movie theater, It's just so much to remember, but the get away is worth your stay. Remember, If you don't like walking try public transportation or rental car. All in all I walked plenty of miles, and saw so must. Airport is in the area John Wayne. And his stature looks just like him. Really it does. So much to see. My favorite spot was the airport, because it was clean and the employees look good in their uniforms. Might not sound important , but it is. Look good feel good. Getting around is not that bad, remember to make sure your direction are correct, text and map helps. Come prepared to have a good time. Here on work, next time with family and kids. Other then that very nice place to see.

The beach was great.
The beach was great. The surfers were there early doing their thing. The kids could get in the water and use the boogie boards. They had a good time. We had a nice bbq and enjoyed the patio. The house was nice. We would avoid that house because its party city for the local teens. The beach does not close for them. They holler and make noise until 3:00am or later.

I was in Newport for work and stayed here because the Travelodge I had reserved (because it was less expensive) turned out to be a crack house. For the money, this place is too old. The "bath towels" are the worst of the worst. For the money, you're right on the fringe. Clean, but not clean enough. Old shower, old shower head, old floor tile. But the King bed was surprisingly firm. Good fridge, micro and TV. Decent amount of space. The place has the vibe of a dump without being a dump. There's a need to upgrade the bathroom and showers.

I would never stay here again!!
I would never stay here again!! No elevator so we had to walk upstairs and even the metal railing was very awkward!! No help with directing to our room which was down the outside walkway in the rain .. the room was cold and all the windows were left open so it was damp too .. the noise coming from a compressor or something was like a helicopter over the room all night long so neither of us slept !! The bed was so hard we both got stiff and I call them hot spots were your hip bone aches !! I heard other rooms flushing toilets or running water 🚿!!! It was our worst ever experience renting w bookings !! I’m asking for a refund or credit towards my next stay at I hope a nice hotel!!

Very nice, my wife and I went there to relax and take a break from work. We walked on the boardwalk and looked in the shops (there is an ice cream shop that has handmade ice cream which is wonderful), we sat on the beach and listened to the waves. There is a Mexican restaurant across from the inn that is very good and there is an Italian restaurant called "Mama D's" that is easily the best Italian food. There is a tattoo shop "Newport tattoo" that does very good work, and of course, several surf shops. We also went up to the Disney district to get some souvenirs’ for people we work with and have lunch at "Tortilla Joes" which is very good.

Sounder hotels are awful. They treat there customers badly.
If you have a problem, they tell you to contact
Booking.com Then booking.com tells you to contact Sonder hotels. They go back and forth to no end. Without any resolution.
So much to like. The location was great, just a few minutes to the beach. The room was big and very comfortable and quiet. The staff very helpful and friendly. When we arrived Monica went above and beyond with her customer service. We will definitely be back. We rented bikes from 20 Street bike rental and the location from the Inn to the Pier and to the grocery store and restaurants is so doable by bike. The best way to get around Newport Beach is by bike. We will definitely be back.
The property is pretty. Everything is very spread out and looks more like a resort than a hotel. Large swimming pool / jacuzzi area that is very pleasant. Great coffee bar with full pastry items plus some to go hot breakfast was unexpected. Obviously you also pay for resort fee and higher cost of staying than a Marriott, but a family of four we thought was worth it. But make sure you have time to spend in the property. Don't suggest this to quick overnight trip.
The heater didn’t work and it’s winter. The staff tried to fix but it needs a Professional. I was a bit cold. There are fireplaces that don’t work but it’s not on the website so I couldn’t be upset. Overall, it is a nice place and I will visit again. I like that the staff were accommodating and pleasant as they could. It’s a beautiful boutique hotel. Great upgrades have been done to the building. Owner and Grandson are Amazing
Great location. You can walk to the beach and restaurants. Very clean room. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The parking lot is cozy but we were able to get a spot. Parking in Newport Beach is challenging anywhere during the summer season. The breakfast was self-serve with lots of choices. Towels and Boogie boards are available for guests to use. The bed was very comfortable and we slept well.
Great location for mall. Nice, safe walk to balboa island. It felt like a generally safe location. Free bottled water on arrival and attentive check in from Tri. Lovely modern, clean, comfortable hotel. Has a nice looking pool and hot tub, complete with sun loungers They have quite a few things included in resort fee, if weather was better, we definitely would have used them all.
I enjoyed very much the position very close to the beach, perfect to start the day with a walk on the seaside. But the structure is quite old, it deserves renovation. It is clean, but you have to ask for the change of towels and linen. There is a series of café's shops nearby, very convenient.
The location, the staff, the room, the hot tub, the views. we read reviews and were very close to cancelling but so glad we didn’t because it was one of our favourite stays as we travelled California over the last month! if we didn’t have a wedding in Catalina-we would have extended our stay!
We enjoyed our brief stay at this cozy hotel. It was nice to have such friendly and helpful service from the reception and to stay in a homey room. The bed was comfortable, the breakfast was fine, there's a roof-top terrace, and the beach is a 2 minute walk across the street.
Location is steps away from good restaurants, grocery shopping, Malls. Basketball courts, Tennis and swimming on the premises. Also near great walking trails, coffee houses, all around great location.
We appreciate the cleanliness, and plenty of paper products. Excellent Host.
It was next door to where my husband had surgery, staff was extremely nice and went out of there way to make me feel comfortable being in a hotel by myself for the first time. it was clean, bed was super comfy, food at the restaurant is phenomenal
location was great, 5 minutes to the sand or harbor. 10 minutes to Newport Beach pier. restaurant’s and bar’s all around you. only little thing no direct view of water. but other than that it was great. also free Beach cruiser use from the hotel
The room was spacious. What I like the most was the bathroom. It was huge compared to other hotels that I stayed at. I was so surprised that the room has a full size refrigerator. I love it but I did not use it at all.
Modern rooms in a small boutique hotel made for a lovely 1 night stay. The receptionist was very helpful and the location was a short walk from Newport Beach (5 mins to the closest part).
The location was excellent. The reserved parking spots were welcome in an area that was crowded with vehicles and parking meters.
The restaurant attached to the hotel was good.
