A few years ago we visited Sal and noticed Villa ao Mar when walking along the beach, we kept it in mind for future trips as it looked like an incredible spot to stay. It didn't disappoint. We would have loved an apartment with a view of the beach, but they were already booked for our dates. We stayed in a two bedroom apartment on the third floor facing the street, and still had a view of the beach from our apartments' rooftop terrace, which we had private access to! The roof top is a great spot for sun bathing and watching the sunset. Even though it is super central, a block from the main strip of Santa Maria with many shops, bars and restaurants, it was a lovely and quiet accommodation. We have a toddler, and love the beach, but didn't want to have to walk far. This was perfect, there is a walkway through the building with beach access. The customer service of staff was fantastic, super friendly and helpful, both pre arrival and throughout our stay. They provided us with a cot, high chair and kitchen ware for our child which was really appreciated. The apartment was equipped with everything we needed to cater for ourselves and was spacious for the three of us. They also offer a laundry service for a fee which we took advantage of. The accommodation exceeded our expectations and we were really happy with our choice. We plan to stay here again in future and will book well in advance to secure one of the ocean facing apartments.

The roof top pool a real bonus. Super markets immediately on your doorstep with the main road with cafes and restaurants within 50 meters. A very short walk to a lovely sandy beach.

We had a wonderful stay at this apartment!!!Everything was exactly as described, very clean, comfortable, and well located from everything . From the moment we arrived, the host was incredibly welcoming and polite, taking the time to greet us in person and make sure we had everything we needed. We unfortunately had a last-minute issue during our trip, and he was so helpful and understanding, which really made a difference for us. It’s rare to meet someone so genuinely kind and attentive. We truly appreciated his support and hospitality and would happily stay here again. Highly recommended!

We liked everything 👍 The apartment was clean with spacious 2 bedrooms and bathrooms. The kitchen has all essentials, what you need, even for a longer stay. The location is perfect, one block from the main pedestrian street and all restaurants 🍝 The pool on the roof terrace has amazing views⛱️ over the town⛪️.

Very comfortable bed and lovely outside seating area for the couple of nights we stayed in. The location was excellent, 5 minutes walk to main strip of bars and restaurants and the beautiful beach. Staff on reception were lovely especially Tyson.

We enjoyed our stay in this appartement where we felt home. Close to the Beach. A few minutes walk from town which made it very quiet. The apartment's location was perfect as it was situated in the heart of the city, close to the beach, and had many shops and restaurants nearby. It was comfortable and we also enjoyed spending time on the rooftop by the swimming pool while taking in the panoramic view of the town.

I'm sure the apartment is unique on the whole island too: designy, modern, spacious – truly a creation of dedicated architect ;)
