We are travelling for 5 weeks in Indonesia and this was the best hotel we've stayed at. We are so sad that we had to leave to catch our flight. This hotel is a gem in Labuan Bajo. When we arrived, we were both amazed because of the lobby. The view is spectacular. The room was spacious and had a luxurious feel with the right amount of amenities. We were invited to test the new boat, Black Swan, with the crew. It was the best sunset we have ever seen in our life and it made our honeymoon feel magical. If you enjoy sunsets, then Katamaran is the place to be. The staff is wonderful. Everyone was so nice, from housekeeping to the receptionist and the people from the restaurants. I got a pretty bad UTI and i needed antibiotics quick. We asked an receptionist if she knew a good doctor. Her collegues all tried to help, fortunately we found a doctor that could help me. Everyone from the staff asked me how I felt and it felt so genuine. The food is amazing. Breakfast buffet has everything you could wish for. A great mix of sweet and savory. We had multiple dinners at the main restaurant. Their Asian dishes are great. The Thai mango fish tastes amazing, smae goes for their Nasi Goreng and Pad Thai. I would also recommend the coffee chicken and the pita bread stuffed with shrimp as appetizer. We also had an afternoon tea (actually sunset tea), it was so good.

Everything about this hotel was exceptional! I can’t even begin to describe how incredible the service, comfort, and overall experience were. I was searching for a kid-friendly hotel in Labuan Bajo, and this was the only one that allowed children under 12 to stay with their parents. I was lucky enough to secure a room before it sold out for the Lunar Holiday. Even though I booked a king-bed room, I was amazed by how spacious and well-ventilated it was. The service went beyond excellent—we were personally greeted by the hotel manager, Peter Kleiss, along with the front desk staff. What made it even more special was the seamless check-in experience, which was done in our room with the assistance of our assigned 24-hour butler, Yosef. The kids’ club was fantastic! My daughter was in tears when it was time to say goodbye to Ms. Astri, Ms. Tri, and Ms. Ima. The recreational team also made our stay memorable by arranging for my husband and me to try on traditional Manggarai attire and learn about the Manggarai culture—huge thanks to Mr. Yohanes and Ms. Ima for that! The hotel also organized various activities for us, including snorkeling, water scooters, kayaking, and hiking. Special thanks to Mr. Julio and Mr. Leri for their assistance. The food was absolutely delicious, carefully curated by the talented Chef Andi Hartono. When I experienced seasickness from island hopping, Chef Andi thoughtfully prepared a herbal tea that instantly relieved my headache. There were so many wonderful staff members whose names I can’t recall, but what amazed me most was how they all remembered ours! Their warmth and hospitality made us feel truly special. We stayed for five nights, yet when it was time to leave, it felt like we were leaving a piece of our hearts behind. This hotel is truly one-of-a-kind, and we will definitely return—especially since the kids had such an unforgettable experience.

I stayed at Meruorah Hotel for 2 days and 1 night — and I absolutely loveeeeeee it! 💖 From the moment I checked in, everything felt smooth, warm, and welcoming. The female receptionist was soooo professional and sweet. She explained everything in detail about our room and the check-in process, which made everything so smooth and easy. Her warm and polite attitude really set the tone for our stay. 🥰 Later in the evening, before going out for dinner, I spoke to a different receptionist (this time a male staff). He was also super professional and explained in detail about the restaurant we were planning to go to , including the menu, estimated pricing, and even a useful tip to double-check the price with the restaurant directly before ordering. He mentioned that sometimes there can be confusion with orders, so his advice was really helpful and thoughtful. It’s rare to see front desk staff who are this attentive and genuinely care about their guests’ experience, even beyond the hotel. I really appreciate both of them and their professionalism. 💖 The room was clean, spacious, and cozy, with everything I needed thoughtfully prepared. The hotel itself has beautiful vibes, and the facilities were top-notch. Every corner of this hotel is beautiful! 💗 And the highlight for me was definitely the breathtaking Labuan Bajo view from my balcony. It made the whole experience feel like a dream! 🚢✨ Meruorah Hotel gave me such a memorable short getaway. I’m already thinking of coming back! Thank you for the warm hospitality and incredible views of Labuan Bajo from my balcony. I’ll definitely recommend it to my friends and family and i cant wait to return soon ! 🌅 💕

All in all, our stay in Ruteng was not the greatest time we had. However, the hospitality and kindness we received from Ricardo and the lovely staff member made us feel so much better when we get home. We were very comfortable and felt like we were at home. Ricardo is a guy full of knowledge around the area and also Indonesia and we leanrt a lot about the culture. He never tried to “sell” anythinf and had only kind intentions. The room is as advertised, located near the shops and warungs. We ended up staying 4nights with nil issues. Thanks so much and we highly recommend staying here if you are coming to Ruteng.

We actually had to immediately move from another hotel to Jayakarta. They offered us not only a better rate, more comfort and better quality, but also free pick up from terrible Expedia booked hotel and free shuttle to the airport. Staff? Exceptional. Better than what we could expect. Will come back for sure
