The views were great, the staff was extremely cooperative and made sure to go the extra mile like arranging a poolside BBQ for us. The rooms were aesthetically pleasing and cleaned well. Breakfast, tea time snacks, and dinner was delicious and presented beautifully each time. The food was not very expensive either; it was good value for money.

Great host, always trying to help us figure out how to get around and have a nice time! They offered us lots of delicious Sri Lankan food for lunch (with fruits, veges, and coffee from their backyard!) in the family home. Whenever we needed a taxi/tuktuk, they connected us, and when we went camping, they even sent someone who lived in the area to make sure we arrived to the campgrounds safely! And since it was a holiday in Sri Lanka, there weren't many taxis running, so the host generously drove us to our next destination himself (2.5hrs to Kandy!). He invited us to his family's traditions for New Years and introduced us all. They allowed us to extend our stay without issues, and they gave us a bigger room than we expected for the same price since it was available. The room was very clean with mosquito net, toilet paper, balcony, warm water shower, air conditioning, warm blankets for the cold nights, and peaceful common outdoor seating area. If we're ever in Maskeliya again, we'll be coming here again. Can't recommend it enough!

I recently stayed at Yara Nuwara Hotel from the 1st to the 5th, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. From check-in to check-out, everything was smooth and seamless. The staff, every single person, was incredibly friendly and accommodating, making our trip even more memorable. Special thanks to Pradeepan and Modourongo for their exceptional hospitality. If you're looking for a hotel near the city center, I highly recommend this place. However, if you're seeking isolation, this might not be the best choice. I'm really glad I chose this hotel – the decor, cleanliness, and overall ambiance were all impeccable. A truly wonderful stay!
