Best holiday ever‼️ Highly recommended for those wanting to experience dessert living but surrounded by comfort. From the moment we stepped in staff were warm, friendly and very attentive. Buffer breakfast was relatively good and dinner included camel meat and chicken barbeque (wish there was seafood). Gorgeous sunrise and sunset is easily accesible but you will need to climb, climb, climb the soft cool dune located behind the resort. MUST activities is the 4WD dune bashing, self drive ATV dune drifting (not for the faint hearted) and open movie watching alongside night star gazing by the bonfires.

The Best Western Sur is located in the picturesque city of Sur, famous as an old fishing village and traditional manufacturer of dhows. Everything was perfect, we dont understand how it doesnt have a higher punctuation! Even though its not in Sur center its a good stop when you come from the dessert and then continue to Muscat or the other way around. Its easy to get to sur centre with your own car. The pool and the room its nice and the breakfast had a big choice of things. The shisha corner its also very nice presented. The staff was very friendly and welcoming.

The reception staff was very friendly and offered to wake us up during the evening if the giant turtles were seen on the beach and a guide to provide us to view on location. We used the pool that was quite good after a long drive. Breakfast was exceptional and staff encouraged us to take along some fruit that we had not consumed during the sitting. The morning of our departure we saw a baby turtle that had hatched during the night and wandered the wrong way from the sea.

Personál je velmi milý a zajišťuje dobrý servis a příjemnou atmosféru. Nabídka výletu do pouště na čtyřkolkách doplní váš zážitek. Jedná se o dobře zajištěný servis. Během hodinové jízdy jsme zdolávali menší i větší duny, opakovaně se zahrabávali koly do písku. Byl to opravdu výjimečný zážitek. Cestou potkáte osamocené pastviny velbloudů. Rezort je již trochu zastaralý, kdo hledá luxus, měl by zvolit jiné místo. Přesto ale doporučuji. Abych nezapomněla, jídlo je tam výborné.

Arabian Oryx Camp se nachází uprostřed Sharqiya Sands v ománské čtvrti Rub al-Chalí a nabízí beduínský zážitek v poušti. We opted for a transfer to the camp due to lack of a proper 4x4. The transfer included dune bashing on the same date. The drivers tried to impress with their desert driving skills from the first day. Our room was gorgeous with a window view to dunes. Dinner was amazing, as a vegan was I was indulged with variety of vegan options, which for Oman is not a small feat. We enjoyed the half day desert ride and dune bashing. Some drivers are amazing.
