Setting views of the window. The most incredible Scandinavian breakfast I’ve ever had. The food is locally sourced and clearly labeled. Huge variety to choose from. You can make your own waffles.

Situated next to the Umeälven River in central Umeå, this hotel is 800 metres from Umeå Central Station. It offers free WiFi, a lobby lounge, as well as free access to a fitness centre and sauna. Very cozy and clean sauna, kind people, location was also perfect, center of umeå and you can buy your stuff at the supermarket next to the hotel. The gym was a bit tiny but pretty enough for upper training.

U&me hotel is located in the center of Umeå, just 50 meters from the Umeälv. The contemporary furnished rooms all have a fantastic view of the city or the river. Perfect location right in the city centre and yet by the riverside and parks. Fantastic ambience, great breakfast and very comfortable rooms with great views. I can only recommend this hotel!

This central Umeå hotel is just 50 metres from the Umeälven River. It provides free Wi-Fi, an on-site restaurant and bar, as well as modern rooms with a flat-screen satellite TV. The location was very convenient. Everything was easily accessible by walking - shopping, restaurants, bus and train stations. The breakfast was exceptional. The hours were reasonable, the selection was great, and the food was delicious. The atmosphere of the hotel was great. It was an older building, but obviously had been completely updated, so it had a lot of character but was very comfortable. The eating area was in a large glass covered courtyard that really added to the experience.

Hotell Gamla Fängelset is a converted prison from 1861 located in central Umeå and offers free WiFi and breakfast. All rooms have windows and shared bathroom facilities. One of the best places I've ever stayed. It's not the right place for those who want something luxury but it's the place for people appreciating good taste and home atmosphere. It's former jail, yes, but it's one of the coziest places I've seen. I enjoyed everything: cozy atmosphere, comfortable bed, inner decor, breakfast, easy check in at night. Special thank you for fresh flowers and candles! They really gave the feeling of home. It was so nice to talk to the owner at the end of my stay and to learn the story of family business.
