I have been in major cities across the globe, and I wasn't expecting to stay at an international standard hotel in Cameroon that meets all these requirements. I went there first to save on money, but I discovered a high value hotel wrapped at a very affordable price. The beds are clean, and they have plastic mattress protection for Fontaine ladies, so they don't leave the mess behind. They room are very, very clean, the bathroom is very ok and they provide basic necessities including shower essential. I forgot to take a picture. I will do it next time. Free and fast wifi with Ubiquity Router and Starlink Services. I stay in the Dubai room with a view of the military airport runaway.

The house was dusty and the fridge dirty.
The house was dusty and the fridge dirty. The sheet were of the same as what was advertised hence not changed. The electricity is prepaid and i have to pay for that. I later noted that under the bed was never swept. ( see picture). They were cockroaches in the bathroom. Overall the state of the place was so dirty and not worth the money paid.

Douala is the life wire of the Cameroon economy, with lots businesses centered here. It is easy to get around with yellow taxi, taxi from your hotel or using a mobile app to get a taxi. The town is at the sea bed of the atlantic ocean and the wouri river, heavy rainfall, hot and humid weather! Akwa, where my hotel was located, was not clean at all, especially at Boulevard Ahmadou Ahidjo. The streets had not been swept and refuse dump every where.

I attained the objective of my visit.
I attained the objective of my visit. But for the poor hygiene and sanitation at the Hotel Sawa, all other things were very good. Dinner at the Gemi Wing restaurant was excellent. I can easily move around Douala because of the availability of different transport options. On my net visit, I will avoid the Sawa Hotel
