This is right above the airport, but airplane noise is not a big problem: planes are small and only 2 or 3 per day. The planes are interesting to watch and the sea beyond is lovely. And it's a short drive there too. The house was very clean, the kitchen pretty well equipped and a thoughtful set of spices and herbs are very useful. The bed is very comfy too. The design, with 1 large bedroom, is spacious and pleasant. John was really good. Replacing the old Spanish language TV with a new Smart TV ,- now lots more programmes available, and Utube in many languages. Parking is good. The 'Christmas cake' look of the house didn't detract from our very happy stay.

La Candia y el Mar is a recently renovated country house in Valverde, where guests can makes the most of its pool with a view, garden and terrace. Amazing view, well put-together country house. Very comfortable and highly recommended. Don't let it put you off, but be aware that the island's air strip is close. There aren't many flights in a day, they're all turboprop planes and given the small size, takeoff and landing is very quick.
