The photos do not show the very smart bathroom just modernised. There is also mention of a bunk bed which is wrong. There are double beds in the two bedrooms, and in the lounge a pull out double bed/settee. Lots of places round about to visit. Would be a good place to stay if driving from the north of France to Spain. Very good golf course.

Beautiful place to visit. Amazing beech and walkways and access to it, fabulous. Numerous bars, restaurants and shops to visit. A ride on the train was very nice, reasonably and very educational. Would love to go back.

You need to have a car if you stay at this hotel. There are three hotels in the same property, so if you go to the last one in the compound, there is a restaurant. No dinner available at the IBIS aeroport.

Bayonne (Baiona) is a lovely town, very Basque.
Bayonne (Baiona) is a lovely town, very Basque. Great restaurants, and handy for the road south into Spain. BUT: parking is an issue. If you are staying in the centre, the station car park costs upwards of €14. If you like a couple of glasses of wine with dinner... otherwise it's a taxi at similar cost.

Super for 4 days. Stayed at Victoria Surf Residence, sea view, looking out over La Grande Plage. Very central location, close to shops and Fisherman's Port with lovely restaurants. Strongly recommend 'Chez Albert' (Paella was particularly good) and La Corsaire. In the centre Les Halles (10 mins walk) has fantastic Fishmongers who serve Oysters and other shellfish that can be eaten in an upstairs seating area. 6 Oysters and a glass of wine 8.50 euros? Biarritz, although a city by the sea, is very picturesque with lovely beaches and good surf.

Angler almost surrounds it more famous neighbour Biarritz, and there are reasonable bus services - at least during the day and early evening - between the two towns. There are sandy beaches, woodland, and the attractions and bars of Biarritz nearby. On the whole, a pleasant place to visit in Summer, and I am told pleasantly mild in Winter too !

Great location next to Biarritz Airport. The staff were super helpful and the rooms are big and confortable. There are loads of frequent buses to Bayone and Biarritz city centre which makes the location great for exploring nearby attractions as well as being very convenient for the airport.
