Ace Hotel Bourges is located just a 15-minute drive from Bourges city centre and 200 metres from the A71 motorway. It offers en suite accommodation and a buffet breakfast. Excellent for a family short stay - we were with our kids, 2y and 7m old, we got free crib and a full single bed plus a large double bed for us in the Triple room, very spacious, with the table/chair, TV, small placard and place to keep the luggage, and the shelves near each bed. Good variety of lighting in the room, super comfortable beds, AC/heating, in the bathroom there is good amount of space, light, no water leaks. It was very quiet in the room, we did not hear any outside or neighbors noise. Breakfast was enough, there is some choice like pastry, butter, cheese, ham, jam, eggs, pancakes, cereals, fruits, usual warm and cold drinks. Stuff was very nice. Plenty of parking space. We had a diner at Leon nearby, the decor and food was pleasant, and our son enjoyed playing in their cabane house. Super stay, merci !

The heart of Bourges is a fabulous, unspoiled, Medieval town that is lovely to wander around. The cathedral is wonderful, the narrow streets and quaint, half-timbered houses are beautiful and there are some nice restaurants.

Beautiful old town architecture and a World Heritage cathedral. Decent selection of restaurants, many of them closed on Mondays. I ate outdoors at La Gargouille which was OK, but my fish was a little over-cooked.

Of course,the magnificent Cathedral is a must to see,where street parking is very easy and close at hand. It,s one of the best in France ,I believe. The choice of surrounding Bar/restaurants ,with outdoor late evening meals was incredible . We asked for directions at the central Pizza restaurant for another eating place and three of their staff conferred ,then gave ud a map with written ''English instruction ...amazing .So we looked more closely at their menu ,and deciding to stay, had the best steak meal. Sorry I can,tt remember the name of the restaurant.

Bourges was beautiful and so very pretty, the cathedral and grounds are stunning with so much to offer, having a live concert was just amazing, lots of restaurants and the souvenir shop with guides and gifts was an added bonus

Should have planned to get there earlier in day to explore more, ideally you should get to Bourges around mid morning ahead of check in time have a walk round and perhaps some lunch then check in and then go out for evening meal, if the light show on make ever effort to watch.

There are two monuments of must-see quality in Bourges: the cathedral, which is utterly outstanding, and the renaissance palace of Jacques Coeur. The old centre itself is exceedingly fine, rich in medieval, renaissance and eighteenth-century buildings. The gardens by the cathedral are beautiful, there was open-air dancing and a superb free light show through the old town. Bourges should be on everyone's bucket list.
